"My room had recently been re-decorated and still smelt a little of emulsion. This is a very convenient stop off on the A1. The rooms face away from the road and there is very little traffic noise. I had an nice meal at a reasonable price."

"Great location just yards from the beach, as base for visiting nearby attractions such as bamburgh castle and Cragside. Rocky in parts but otherwise golden sand beach and again short walk to Seahouses. Just lovely seaside resort. Hotel staff friendly and food excellent with choice of dining room or lounge to relax. Would stay again."

"The house is in a lovely hamlet of holiday homes about 10 mins drive to Bamburgh. It’s got lots of space for a big family gathering and is close to good hiking paths. It is, however, a little rough around the edges. Lots of aspects of the property need a good refresh & I wouldn’t say that the marketing photos match the actual place. The listing also says it’s a .6 of a mile to a pub but that is not the case - the closest one is a 10 minute drive away. Maybe this is all priced in but it felt a little shabby, especially compared with the other properties in the same complex. "

"Bluebell Cottage is a delight. Well appointed, and equipped with everything you need for self contained rental. Clean. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Appreciated the additional TV in the bedroom and the sofa/lounger. Good location for exploring Northumberland and short drive to Bamburgh. Quiet location too."
