The livelier seaside town of Great Yarmouth (15 miles) has fun fair, pier with theatre, Sea Life Centre and indoor leisure centre. Norwich (18 miles) offers shopping, castle and museum. Cromer is 10 miles with shops, pubs, restaurants and the Norfolk Coast Path, which runs from Hunstanton to Cromer. Shop and restaurant 50 yards, pub 300 yards.

We had a lovely time as the cottage is so close to the sea, lovely gardens and towns. But the cottage was far from clean, in some places grimy, and needed a good scrub in order to stay there: not what you expect at all.

We had a great time. The dog loved the great expanse of beach at Bacton and all the local people were very dog friendly. He was welcome in the pubs and even some shops. We travelled around to places I was taken to as a child and it brought back a lot of memories. We would come again.

Lovely for a nice relaxing ho liday by the sea. Not much to do in the village itself but not far to lots of stately homes and other attractions
