Great few nights here. Ideal location for working in the area. Had food one night in bar and was really good, breakfast good each morning, staff all very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and spacious.

We had our 16month old black labrador puppy with us so we asked for a quiet spot to eat. They gave us the snug all to ourselves. The staff couldnt have done more for us and bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. The service was excellent, the food was superb. I couldnt recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff are an absolute credit to the business. Thank you.

The staff and the food excellent, the tv and WiFi not working , decor very dated though clean , outside were dead hanging baskets and weeds which was the first impression walking from the car park

A wonderful break,perfect for visiting surrounding area. Very dog friendly. Food was fantastic and very well priced.would definitely visit again.only down side ,Couldn't see out of very high window, and quite dark,but for 2 nights didn't mind

Very pleasant stay for 4 nights over NewYear. This is a popular village pub come in and the locals were supper friendly. Food was excellent and the host Emma very accomodating, helpful and chatty.

Great place to stay - very friendly staff
Great hotel above a friendly pub. We had a perfect stay when visiting friends. The staff and owner are incredibly lovely and helpful. We had a tyre disaster in the morning and the lovely cleaner (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name) and Emma the owner all rallied to successfully help us out of our predicament. We would not have being able to do this without their very generous help. Thank you so much - a great stay and lovely staff.

Good for an overnight stay
Good sized room with a nice comfortable big bed. All the usual facilities to a good standard. Good sized free on site parking to the rear. Pub attached serves a good selection of drinks & food.

A very pleasant local country pub with an excellent selection of ales. Excellent breakfast. Evening food was well cooked and good size portions. Menu a bit limited. Perhaps they should think about offering lighter desserts such as Creme Brulee or cheesecake. I can't recommend the Exton room/suite. It's right above the kitchen so you know when the chef has started cooking as the kitchen's extractor fan starts up and is a bit noisy. The sink in the bathroom was the smallest I have come across. On the plus side, a good shower and hot water always available. And for some unknown reason, the cleaner never left us any white sugar so we had to keep asking at the bar. Bar and restaurant staff very helpful and pleasant to talk to.

Lovely little inn. Spacious, comfortable room. Our host Emma was so lovely and helpful and we had excellent service from everyone, including the chef who definitely went the extra mile for us. Perfect location for exploring Rutland Water. Would recommend.

The Warmest of Welcomes
We enjoyed a terrific couple of days in the Rutland area using the Coach House as our base. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the staff could not have been more helpful, friendlier or better natured. They made our stay simply memorable. In additon, the food served at both breakfast and dinner was of a high standard and always arrived with a smile and cheerful demenaour! Thank you to Emma, Casey and all the staff.!

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at The Coach House Inn. Our room was spacious and clean. The king size bed was very comfy and we enjoyed a really good nights sleep. Dinner was excellent. We both ordered the Chicken and Ham Pie which was a huge slice packed with meat. They also allowed us to substitute chips for the mash it was normally served with. Breakfast was also excellent. A selection of fruit and pastries followed by fantastic quality bacon, sausages, grilled tomato, mushrooms and choice of eggs (I chose poached and you could tell immediately from the deep orange colour of the yolks that they were free range). All that plus the toast meant that we forgot about luch until mid afternoon. Service from all of the staff was also excellent. Emma greeted us very warmly at check in, the chef came out for a chat after the dinner service which was a nice touch, and all of the staff were very engaging and made us feel very welcome. We will certainly book here again in the future.

A nice surprise
A nice out of the way Inn, in this lovely part of the English countryside. Everybody was very friendly and I was made to feel welcome; the dinner was delicious and I can best describe my stay as a home away from home. I will definitely come again.

A great stay
Our stay at the Coach house in was very relaxing and Emma was a great host. Jack behind the bar was very attentive. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant and I have to say the food was outstanding value for money and the food quality was excellent. Breakfast is a must, and all locally sourced. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent but could make some improvements
The staff and owner were extremely welcoming and we very much enjoyed our stay. The room was small but it was good value. Only complaint was that there was no heating in the room in the morning and it was pretty cold. We ate at the Inn and the food was outstanding. Again, the only gripe is that there is no menu and the dishes were read out to you, but the problem was that we had no idea of prices and were too embarrassed to ask. I can’t understand why there isn’t a chalk board or laminated sheet if worried about COVID.

This was a great stay. Being a key worker I was able to stay. Emma the manager was so nice and met me at the door with milk and a brownie. She couldn’t be more helpful even though it was a bit of a surprise to get my booking because of the situation. She gave me some drink and even offered to go and get some food for me!! What a fantastic host. Will definitely be back when things improve

Excellent stay
We had an excellent stay. The welcome we received was amazing. We staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The room was warm and the bed extremely comfortable. I was especially happy with the choice and quality of the food. Being gluten free is sometimes very difficult to find good choices. But here I had an excellent range of choices. Particularly notable was the fish and chips. Such lovely gluten free batter. I would highly recommend this as a destination. We enjoyed exploring the locality.
