"Had a lovely pleasant stay. Had a very welcoming experience from the owner who seemed genuinely pleased to see us. Gave us all the information we needed and showed us to our room. The room was immaculately clean and very spacious, as was the en-suite. Breakfast was an abundance of fresh yoghurt, pastries, cheeses and cereals. "So glad we booked this place rather than a large hotel in the area that we were considering. The room was gorgeous with a big bath tub (we chose one of the big rooms). "Absolutely fine, was welcomed by a thoroughly nice chap who checked us in etc. Room was up in the rafters but was nice, comfortable bed and a magnificent bathtub. Spent an hour in the bar and enjoyed that, drinks were reasonable price and it seemed to be quite full. Had to leave at 06:00 to catch ferry so didn’t eat breakfast. "Nice place, exactly what you'd expect from an older building in a high street. The room was ready, check-in was so easy it was done and I knew where the room was and where to find breakfast in less than two minutes. I even knew when the bar closed. Why can't all hotels be like this? The room was warm and comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee stuff. Easy car parking, and do hang around to watch the squirrels in the trees in the gardens. Breakfast was excellent. A good stay - I'd stay there again. Recommended"
