"We've been coming to Burney for business a few times a month since January this is the first time we Stayed in the Slammin Sammy Suite. We stayed during the 4th of July holiday weekend for Burney Basin Days Festivities. Seriously it was so large it felt like a house had everything a home has dishes, toaster, coffee pot, microwave, fireplace, 2 bathrooms one with a jetted tub. Dining table was huge for an entire family to sit (Honestly the picture on the website the table is so large I thought it was a pic of the lobby not the suite LOL). The room was clean and well maintained and had clean towels the entire stay AC worked like a dream in fact we had to turn it down it was so chilly perfect. The cost was reasonable and comparable to other hotels. The Charm Motel has the most amazing staff friendly, courteous and answered all our questions. Next Family outing I recommend the Slammin Sammy Suite"

"The hotel was adorable, loved the historic vibe and rooms were thoughtfully updated, but Some of the pull out couches were a bit worn down. The staff and actually everyone we interacted with in town at other restaurants and shops were beyond friendly. Can’t speak highly enough about them. "

"Loved my stay at Drakesbad, they staff was pleasant, the property was beautiful and calm, and their food was great. Dining staff in the evening was amazing, the girls were so attentive and supportive to answering any questions. I loved the horses, and the hikes that were on-site. They were truly magical. I also loved how quiet and peaceful the property was. Getting it there is a gravel road for 3 miles, I would say be careful because there were a few pot holes (hopefully that can be repaired). I made sure to get back before sun-down so I could see them. My only issue was that I ordered a lunch sandwich to be picked up after breakfast because I was going to go hiking. The girl who took my order at dinner the previous evening said it would be ready at 7:30 AM. So the next morning I went to breakfast and after I was done eating around 8 AM I asked for my lunch to go. The sandwich wasn't done until 8:30 AM. Staff (I think different than the evening staff) kept saying that they were making it, however it shouldn't take 30 minutes to make a turkey sandwich. I think if you are going to pack lunches for guests, especially because many are going to hike and it take a good few miles to get off property to Lassen, it's best to have a system that caters to people who want to set out early for a hike. They were apologetic, however I was set back an hour from my hike. Overall, loved my visit, the community of people, and such a beautiful place I'd visit again and plan to stay & visit."

"The cabin is everything shown in the listing..and more. The photos don't do justice to all the personal touches and thoughtful conveniences at the property. Its cozy, comfortable, and well appointed. We had a great local dinner at the lodge nearby recommended by the host. The property couldn't be more convenient to Lassen Park. The location is very quiet most of the time. The only complaint is that a loud motor came on at 5 am each morning behind the bedroom (a generator?) The first morning it turned off after ten minutes, but the next morning it stayed on for a few hours. All in all, highly recommended."
