Starfish Manor Oceanfront Hotel

"We couldn’t find our room and had to ask the maintenance man for directions. He gladly showed us where the room was and even offered to carry our bags since we were assigned a disabled room. Room was updated and very clean with awesome views."

"I enjoyed how big and clean the room was. I did have to get someone to help engage the lock on the door to the adjoining room. The walls/ceiling felt thin as I could hear the children running/talking in the halls and the people above my room having a soccer tournament (I’m exaggerating but did use the ironing board at one point to tap on the ceiling to have them calm down). The shower was very nice and ran heavy like a waterfall - no saving water there, and it felt so good. It did feel safe and was a good location to gas and grocery shopping. The person at the front desk was very welcoming. Overall, I wouldn’t not recommend this place."

"The best part is having a balcony so you can see the marina and bridge. The online photos made the room appear better than what it actually was. The bathroom was more outdated than I expected and the cleanliness of the room was 5/10. There was dust and hair behind the bathroom door. The front desk staff were super kind. It’s not terrible at all just know it’s outdated."

"The property is being completely renovated so it was hard to give a better rating with the construction going on. The location and Ocean view and easy access to the beach were a real plus and the staff were Great!"
Brookings Inn Resort

"Loved the blue color way, conveniently next to Dairy Queen subway Mcd kfc etc. WiFi and tv was down, but I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised for such a cheap stay! Less than $60 got me a table, king bed, chairs, many convenient lights and plugs, easy parking, fridge, and bathroom actually smelled like it was cleaned. Bedding was clean and not stained and pillows were fluffy. Even had a pool. -1 star for no WiFi and stains on hand towels from other peoples makeup but overall would stay here again. Close to California border"
