This apartment was so well-located within a couple minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and a variety of restaurants, bakeries, and other conveniences, such as metro and RER stations. While I wouldn't necessarily call it a "luxury" apartment, it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and safe. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice to have a kitchenette and a living area. The lift was also so helpful! Probably the only drawback was the tiny bathroom, but that is fairly common in European flats. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Great area
The rental was great. The big bed was hard but felt awesome after walking all day. The apartment was great. I stayed with my 16 year old daughter and my 69 year old mother and it was more than enough room. We absolutely loved the apartment and it was in a safe area. I highly recommend the apartment

Perfect location with everything you need
Thank you so much. We had a wonderful stay and loved your apartment. The location was perfect with shops and nearby restaurants and of course the Eiffel Tower a block away. It was simple to walk everywhere or hop on the train. Great communication with the host and onsite contact. The beds and linens were soft and comfortable and my children slept very well with dark room and a super quiet building. Only reco would be instructions for the 2in1 Washer Dryer. That took a few tries to figure out drying. But otherwise perfect in every way! And really appreciated the gift basket. Would highly recommend!!

The location of the apartment is outstanding. One block to Rue Saint-Dominique and with several good restaurants right downstairs from the apartment. Bed linens are luxurious. That’s the end of the good review. The queen size mattress is hard and the bed creaks every time you move. The apartment is not clean, especially the bathroom which has mold in the shower and on the walls. The medicine cabinet mirror is broken and held together with a sticker peeled off of a package and a razor blade taped inside for the closure magnet to attach to! There is a tall step up into the shower so it is definitely not handicap accessible or indeed safe for someone elderly. There is no heat in or near the bathroom and a drafty window in the shower itself. But, the toilet is clean. This is not a luxury apartment but could be if it is renovated. The window frames are actually falling apart. I’d be concerned for a small child as the paint is very old and very thick (lead paint?). Currently, there is a major renovation of the common areas but workers do not begin until after 8:30 and finish before 5:00 so do not disturb you but it does add to the dust.

Homely French chic apartment in a lovely neighbourhood

Cannot beat the location
Our stay in Paris was a great one. The apartment is located very close to the Eiffel Tower and many other sights, so it was fun (and easy) to walk around and see the city. The apartment building was undergoing some renovations, so it was noisy at times, but it really didn’t matter since we were there get out in streets. It goes without saying that everything in the vicinity is expensive and crowded, but there was no shortage of options to take you off the beaten path.

Great Paris Experience
Great unit with a convenient location close to metros. The host was great- he had an easy check in process, left a welcome basket, and was around to answer all questions. We also really appreciated the fans in the unit since it was so hot outside. The only downside was the king mattress was very firm. We switched to the other room with the two twins.

Perfect Location
The location of this apartment is perfect. A few blocks from the Eiffel Tower which brings with it excellent links for everywhere in the city. Multiple bus stops for various lines that get you everywhere in the city within about a half hour. Great bakery just around the corner and up the street for breakfast every morning. Nice welcome package on arrival. It is a typical city apartment with smaller spaces but lots of room for our two teenagers and us.

Amazing location, central to everything with every amenity
We stayed at Mark’s apartment for a week in July. Wow! I don’t think you could have a better location. Eiffel Tower was just steps away. Cafes, markets, museums, everything was very walkable. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed. Very convenient tj even have a washer dryer there. Check in and checkout was easy. The neighborhood was very pleasant and even just walking about was a lot of fun. Living here would be a dream but at least we got to visit for a week. Not at all enough to see this beautiful city. Would love to visit here again one day, and would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again.

Great location
Great location easy to navigate around. Perfect size for the 3 of us with the 2nd bedroom connected to the first ideal for family. Happy to have a good Italian restaurant just below the apartment. Which made arrival day dinner easy and delicious. And it was glutten free so my mom could eat.

Paris at the Top
This little apartment gave us a big experience in Paris. The location is ideal for the Eiffel Tower, Seine River, Rue Cler and countless restaurants. My husband and I traveled with a friend and found this place not too small for three adults. While one of the bedrooms was also the passageway for the second bedroom, it was private enough. The only draw back I found was the lack of ability to unpack in the "breezeway room". When we were there, Edgar was the "go to guy" who responded quickly to our needs. If we were to return Paris, we would strongly consider this apartment.

Great location
We would stay here again, and recommend it to others! Comfortable beds, good kitchen, minute bathroom, mostly clean, although bathroom tiles could use some bleach. Host available to help (not needed), nice area with plenty of restaurants and places to buy food, good access to transit. And, of course, there’s the Eiffel Tower looming over the front door!

Wonderful Location!
This apartment is in a wonderful location near the Eiffel Tower and Metro station, with lots of good restaurants nearby. The beds are comfortable and the layout works well for four people. The bathroom is very tiny, but functions fine.

Perfect in every way
Absolutely loved our charming apartment just steps away from the Effie tower. Mark was a great host leaving us a lovely starter gift basket and detailed instructions. The building had old world charm, was clean and very secure. The bedrooms where comfortable, be aware you have to access the second bedroom through the first, however there is a privacy curtain that can be used. The beds are good and there was enough space for us all to spread out in the living area. Lots friendly dinning establishments close. I would recommend this location as a base for anyone wanting to have a comfortable home base well in Paris.

The property was perfectly located with shops, restaurants, metro stations, and the Eiffel tower all within walking distance. The view was beautiful and the street was quiet and safe. An amazing Paris location apartment for 2-3 people
We stayed 8 nights at this cute little apartment. First, the location is awesome. It is a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Just down the street is another really cute street with restaurants, Boulangeries, big grocery store etc. So convenient for anything you might need. The apartment itself is small as per usual in Paris apartments. The bedroom with the large bed in it is very firm. The twins beds in the other room were great. The bathroom is very small but has everything you will need. There was plenty of hot water for our showers. The couch in the tv/kitchen area will seat 3 people max. The upstairs neighbors are pretty noisy but that is no fault of the owner. The walls are very thin and you can here everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this apartment.

Charming little flat in a great location
We loved our stay at Mr Shamy's cute little Parisian flat. Location is as amazing as the view of the Eiffel tower. So many fantastic bakeries and restaurants within short walking distance. I found the king bed mildly uncomfortable but husband loved it so its just a matter of preference. Kids loved the second room with the 2 twin beds. Kitchen was well appointed and the washer/dryer was a welcome amenity. The bathroom (especially the shower) was indeed vey small as stated in other reviews, but we made it wotk just fine for a family of 4. Overall a nice stay and we would stay there again in the future. There was also a lovely gift basket upon arrival.

Lovely Family Accomodation
With the Eiffel Tower casting a shadow over this quintessential little Parisian apartment, it is hard to imagine a better location. The surrounding streets are full of authentic shops where fresh fruit, bread, groceries and quality coffee are easily accessible. Really special stay with my wife and children aged 9 and 6. Sweet little apartment
Just got home from a week in Paris. Location, location. location! The view of the Eiffel Tower on the cover picture is spot on. She is right there! So close and right around the corner. We found the location to be perfect for our trip. This is definalty an older Parisian building but very quaint and serviceable. Do not expect new and American and you will be fine. As described the second bedroom is though the first, so if privacy is an issue this may not be the best option. The host left a small gift basket which is a nice touch since it includes coffee and chocolate! The elevator and bathroom are small. Only two people a time in the elevator and one in the bathroom: max. This was a perfect place for us, but I can see that it may not be a good fit for all. We loved it!

Great Location!
This location is literally a five minute walk to the Eiffel tower. There are also several good bakeries within walking distance. We would suggest going to the Rue Cler, which is within a 10 minute walk. It is a lovely area with restaurants, bakeries, and fun shops.

The apartment is in a prime location. Just a couple of blocks from the Eiffel Tower. Lots of fun bistros and pastry shops. The apartment has one small closet and you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other rooms and the bathroom is incredibly small. Not too sure of the cleanliness of the tile in the shower. The apartment wasn’t great for a couple.

Excellent location, so close to the Eiffel tower, grocery & metro nearby. You have to walk through the master bedroom to access the 2nd bedroom with 2 twins beds but it's not a big deal. Kitchen is well equipped, no oven but the microwave has a convection oven. Lovely fluffy towels and comfortable beds and nice touch of a welcome basket. I would highly recommend!

Perfect location for touring. Description of nearby restaurants, metro, buses, and sites is accurate. Our only regret was not having air conditioning, as we visited in August. Many large windows that we opened but no breeze a couple of nights. There are 3 fans available to use.

Paris Adventure...Girls' Trip!
What a girls' great getaway trip to Paris! Our Quartier du Gros-Caillou location was exactly the location as shown in the photo--2 blocks from the Tour Eiffel and on a quiet side street (the clanking dishes during the evening from the restaurant below become less noticeable with time). The flat was on the 5th floor, and access through lift was greatly appreciated. We were fortunate to have missed the massive 100+ heatwave by 2 days, but it was a typical hot Paris week--the flat has no AC, but fully opening the windows for cross ventilation and using the provided fans made the rooms comfortable. The unit was appropriately sized for our group of 4 adults--19, 21, and 2 at 55+. The bathroom is best described as 'petite,' but has all of the necessary, well functioning components. Directions for entry were at first complicated, but we came to appreciate the details and after the initial entry--all was easy. The kitchen supplies were fine and the host had left a basket of some snacks that were well enjoyed! The location of the flat is very convenient to many cafés, a grocery market, and 'souvenir' shops. The flat is a bit of a hike across the Seine from bus/métro line (at least 3/4 mile to Alma-Marceau) but we were grateful for the flat's quiet location after days of pounding the pavement. Merci, Mark, for providing such a great accommodation through VRBO. We hope to return again one day!

A great location to get a slice of Paris life. Many restaurants and boulangeries nearby. The apartment worked well for 3 of us. Our teen had a little space to herself. Relatively quiet, though some noise when people dump trash and recycling in the courtyard. The WiFi worked pretty well. Cable went out a couple of times. We are English speakers, could not find any English-language stations on the TV. There is also a all-in-one washer/dryer. That was helpful. It was a nice apartment. We’d stay there again.

Amazing Location
I first off would stay here again because of it's location! I took my 2 granddaughters to Paris and wanted them to experience the real deal. From the café' outside of the door, the flower shop and the Boulangerie where we had pain de chocolate each morning I couldn't have asked for more. The apartment itself was adequate space and expected in a european country. The ammenities were nice (washer/dryer, refrigerator, and iron and ironing board were welcomed. The bathroom was a postage stamp size and did not have enough space for 3 girls and their "things." We figured out quickly how to overcome and make our own spaces. It would have been nice (although we didn't watch tv) to have some written directions just in case. I tried once and could not figure out how to use the tv. There are a few cosmetic looking issues but the building is over 200 years old so that's to be expected but I must say I did wonder about those cracks in the ceiling. Loved the windows and the breeze. Loved watching people be people like making dinner, sitting at their windows and listening to the neighbor practice the piano! I would stay here again if I'm ever so lucky to be in the city of lights again. Thanks, Oh, my granddaughters loved it!

Great location near Eiffel Tower and Rue Cler shopping, train access a few blocks near the river. Back bedroom access through the first bedroom, no closet in the main bedroom. Very functional kitchen, we like to do some cooking while on vacation. Small efficiency kitchen but everything works. Windows were older wood, and bang around when open. Beds were comfortable!. Bathroom could use some deep cleaning, but was functional. Overall a good location, comfortable apartment. We enjoyed our stay in Paris

Fantastic home base for our trip
Our original reservation through another agency canceled on short notice but it turned out to be a wonderful thing. Mark‘s property is truly a gem. A small fourth floor apartment and a perfect location to explore the city. A.m. is very short walk from the tower and the gardens. It is surrounded by cafés and restaurants, the usual souvenir shops and markets. It has a kitchen so we did not have to eat out every night if we did not want to enter were several grocery stores within a very short walk. On the future trips I don’t think we can ever stay at a hotel again after our wonderful experience here!

Great location. Close to the Eiffel Tower and close to many restaurants.
The apartment was pretty roomy with two separate bedrooms. In order to get to the second bedroom you must walk through the first bedroom. The bathroom could use a little updating. It was roomy enough for 4 people and the neighborhood was very quiet even though it was close to the Eiffel Tower and many restaurants. Great value for your $!

Overall, the apartment was great. Excellent location with easy access. Absolutely loved the bakery shop just around the corner and close to a pharmacy so getting covid tests was easy. I loved having the washer/dryer combo in the apartment. We had a language translator on our phone and after some research, we were able to figure things out. We easily could have called Edgar if we had a question but didn’t want to bother him. We had no problems with anything working that we used. The water pressure and even the small bathroom was enough. The welcome basket was a nice touch. A couple of suggestions that would have made our stay a little better. An instruction binder with easy to follow directions for the appliances, where to put the garbage, little things like that to know would have been helpful. The lengthy details to get inside were excellent, well written and easy to follow so something along those lines. Another thing to bring is passport photos for your metro card. We spent three days trying to get passes with issue after issue if we could even find a photo booth. Once we had our weekly tickets, it was convenient to take the train places. I would highly recommend this place and would come back and stay here again.

The location is excellent. There are plenty of cafes, markets and restaurants close by. The Eiffel Tower can be seen wherever you walk and is only a few blocks away. Explore the neighborhood and you will meet wonderful locals and feel welcomed by the city. The apartment is cozy - not the most luxurious available - but clean and the owner was very helpful. There is a grocery store and fresh market one block away so it was great to get some fresh food during our stay. Overall a great choice if you are looking for a great location.

My family (spouse, two children) stayed at this property in Sept 2021. We had received check in information prior to arrival, and were given a contact to call for issues, which we had none. Likely due to COVID protocols, it was an independent process, but everything was self-explanatory from our perspective so not an issue. The location is wonderful; so close to the Eiffel Tower, restaurants, Rue Cler, the yellow line of the Metro. The apartment itself had everything we needed and tons of Parisian charm. Thank you for a great stay in Paris!
