My stay at French theory was quite delightful. I stayed for approximately 4 nights. The staff were pleasant and the space was interactive with their audio lab, concept store, work space area with an array of books! The cafe was also divine. Everything was truly thoughtfully curated — the ideal space for creative driven individuals and inspiring those to be!

We stayed here with our 2 and 7 year old for a couple nights and loved every minute of it. The location is wonderful, the coffee and food in the cafe was great, and the kids loved the projector screen in the room to watch movies on at night. We were so inspired by the hotel decor and plants that when we got home, we changed up our living space to reflect our favorite parts of the hotel.

there's a vinyl player in the room which was neat. You could cast your phone to a projector, which was nice too. Other guests in the other rooms could cast to your projector too, and they did so often, since apparently all chromecast devices they had connected to each room's projector was having the same name. Bunk beds did not seem very safe. Bathroom was clean and water had good pressure. Area is like 10-15 minutes away from Notre Dame area, and about an hour away from Tour Eiffel, so i would say the location is OK. Very walkable. Overall a unique and interesting experience.

Staying at French Theory was such a delight for a solo traveler. The accommodations were clean and affordable for what it is. The downstairs music lounge, cafe and surrounding areas down by the lobby are such a vibe and so fun to hang out at the evening when winding down from a long day of walking around Paris. Just note that the closest Metro station is a few minutes away but in a way it was nice since the surrounding area is quiet at night. Highly recommend staying here 10/10 if you are looking for a place as a solo traveler.

Beautiful stay in the effervescent Latine Quarter!
I booked French Theory for my first solo trip abroad and the hotel exceeded my expectations! The location was brilliant, in the beautiful and lively Latin Quarter and just a 20 minute walk to the Louvre and other centre sights. I’m a huge fan of Paris, this being my 4th time visiting and I could not recommend this hotel enough for anyone travelling alone or in a group. The cafe, shop and music room are stunning additions to this clean, bright and cosy hotel. I can’t wait to come back!

I had a great time staying at French Theory. The hotel room was perfectly clean, bright, and comfortable - it was the perfect size for a solo traveler like myself. The location is wonderful, and very easy to access from the airport via the RER. I would recommend and hope to visit again :)

Comfortable basic hotel in a superb location
Great location with easy access to Metro, RER and busses. Room a bit basic (no drawers or safe) but comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again

The hotel was unique and perfectly located. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke good English, which helped. The night person spoke little English but was kind and helpful. The room was lovely and clean and well serviced. The hotel was very stylish. The cafe was good but limited. What they had was well made and fresh. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Thanks!

Great cafe on the first floor. There are a lot of students at bars in the neighborhood, but the room was surprisingly quiet. Staff was very helpful. It’s Paris, so the rooms are pretty small.

I was here for 3 days and LOVED IT! It's got a great vibe, is a boutique style at a great price. Staff are helpful, loved the music room, Cafe and shop that keeps the cool vibe of the place going. Located in the centre of the Latin quarter. It's convenient to everything! Highly recommend this place!

The basement had a really unique setup with DJ turntables and a very relaxed vibe. My family had a fun time using the musical instruments that were there for guests enjoyment!

I really dug this place. The rooms were real good for Paris. The staff was great and the location is great. It is near the sorbonne and across the street from Luxembourg Gardens and near the metro. I like the small shop, the decor and more. I will be back here.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and property is maintained very tidy. I traveled with teenage daughter as a single mom and was a bit nervous about safety. But throughout entire stay I felt safe and had no worries. Construction is going on next door with building renovation and it very loud early in the morning. Sometimes at 6:30. But this is understandable during construction. I am a light sleeper but with all the walking and tiredness it did not bother me. Being that hotel is near busy street it is a bit noisy until late hours. Hotel has a restaurant which is great and has many options. We used it frequently for breakfast and lunch. Excellent coffees and food. I would definitely stay here again. Area is very youthful and plenty of places to eat in all four corners. Walking distance to many attractions. I loved my stay!!

We loved the quiet location of the hotel on an no-car street! It is just a little tiny bit far from a metro stop, but that’s what you get for a quiet and not so touristy location! Lovely building and nicely renovated. Our room wasn’t ready for over an hour after the 3 pm check in, and the hostess was nice about it and offered us coffee. But when we got to the room, the upper bunks weren’t made up so we just did them ourselves. The projector was a fun and novel addition to our stay. Loved the simple decor and helpful staff. Beds are comfortable. The slightly bad— The shower pours water onto the floor no matter what, and the elevator is verrrry slow (but at least there is an elevator!). Our son has a bad mold allergy and he started coughing on the very first night when the air blew on him, so I suspect the system needs cleaning. The best part for us since it was 85 degrees out was the amazing air conditioning, so nice after a hot day out.

Amazing location, walking distance from metro station and the RER if you want to take the TGV to airport. Lots of restaurants around the area and walking distance to many touristic places and shopping areas. The room was smaller than i expected, moreover the bathroom. Also the room had concrete floor and the hotel offered no sleepers, i had to walk with shoes all the time , it was too cold for my feet. Definitely weird for a hotel room to have concrete floors with no carpet or rugs or something. Other then that everything was very basic, soap and nothing else, no lotion, no tissues, nothing. It wasn't a cheap hotel, i was kind of disappointed, and i've been in Paris before, i know the hotel conditions there. I will definitely not going back.

Construction
The hotel is well positioned and modern. It is clean and updated to today's standards. The staff was nice. The issues i encountered are temporary but, relevant for the next few months. Upon arrival, someone checking out was complaining about some noise and the effect it had on their family's stay. I was early, left my bag and came back later to check in. I was informed they upgraded me, which sounded good, however, the room was on the first floor above the street. The street is closed off to traffic and is quiet... However, the entire building, facade included next door, touching the room where I was staying was undergoing a serious gut renovation with heavy drilling, with work beginning at 7am. So the upgrade makes sense - to put someone paying for a double room in that would have cause great disappointment to anyone paying more. However, what i think they did not anticipate is the disappointment and inconvenience it also causes anyone staying in that room, even if they are paying the rate of a single room. If you are staying here through what looks like the fall of 2023, a higher room on the east and north side of building will be quieter. Anything on the west and south will be in earshot of the construction noise.
