Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent travel connections though a bit noisy due to area. well priced. Good, plentiful breakfast. Room cleaned daily. No cold water in basin in bathroom!! A great inexpensive hotel for a short break.

I loved the property, the only bad thing I have is that even if you rent a single bed they don’t let you have any visitors for a couple hours.

ok if you just want somewhere to sleep

Good location near the train station. Simple room, ok if looking for something to just sleep. Outdated bathroom and decor. Got a triple and the third bed as more converted sofa. Overall ok if you just want to sleep but when we had rain on the bank holiday was concerned we’d need to spend time at the hotel as there isn’t much in terms of comfort.

Looked at cheap accommodation to reduce costs as normally go three stars. Was very disappointed but agreed my fault. Will not make that mistake again.

Awful customer service

Was visiting Paris with friends. Upon arrival even though i stressed when booking we needed seperate beds we found our room had obly a double bed. We were offered a different room which was much appreciated but once we were settled in our new room we discovered that the toilet did not work. We do not like to complain but when we raised this issue with reception we were greeted with a very rude response. The problem was never rectified which contributed to a less than perfect stay.

Don’t dare show up before 3pm

We arrived extremely early, we went to the hotel who obviously told us there’s no rooms ready which of course was fine with us but when asked if we can leave our bags in the hotel because we had 2 Buisness meetings they told us NO, they actually had the cheek to tell us to go back to the eurostar station and pay for our bags to be kept there we had to go to 2 meetings with our bags which was inconvenient especially as our stay was only for 1 night and we paid £ 89 considering we left the room at 4.15am. We stayed in many hotels in Paris and never nobody treated us the way the 2 day men receptionists did, we asked very politely but got arrogance out of them. We checked in at around 11pm and my god the night receptionist was very very nice, Picardy hotel needs this kind of staff the whole day, this hotel is so convenient being just across Eurostar, pity the day staff are not fit for purpose but we will stay again bearing in mind not to ask to leave our luggage and not show up before 3 pm as they do so well to remind people. Other than that we had a good 4 hours sleep. Thanks again to the lovely night staff who speaks English very well and was so pleasant.

Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend I had an awful stay at this hotel. The door to our room didn’t even lock properly and we were made to leave the key at reception every time we left the hotel, which made us feel completely unsafe. The stairwell to the room was cluttered with luggage and cleaning products, and not powered by automatic lighting, making the walk to and from the room an accident waiting to happen. The room itself was filthy — the floors and walls hadn’t been cleaned, the bathroom was grimy as the bathroom ceiling was non-existent and there was dust everywhere. To make things worse, it was extremely noisy all night with ambulances going past every 5 minutes and traffic congestion noises so we barely got any sleep. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I enjoyed my week’s stay at this hotel. It is conveniently situated opposite the Gare du Nord, which makes it easy to get to from Charles de Gaulle airport using the RER, and so there is ready access to both the RER and the Métro for visiting other parts of Paris. Shops, bars, restaurants etc. in the area are plentiful. My room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed the breakfasts. The hotel staff were polite and friendly.

The location was ideal for the train station and the price was really good. However, it was a bit strange that we needed to hand in our key every time we left for the day. Also, I don’t mind the only fashioned decor however the old shower door was broken and in the bathroom also was a strange grate on the ceiling. We also were only provided with half a loo roll and had to resort to regular boxed tissue. Lastly, on our morning of checkout whilst tidying the bed, we found a bed bug crawling along the sheets.

This is one of the better relatively inexpensive hotels near a capital city's mainline railway stations literally opposite Gare du Nord and a few minutes walk to Gare de l'Est In spite of being in a busy area, you can still get a good night's sleep

It is not fair for the management not to provide a fan in the room. There is no air-condition, no fan. The room was extremely hot. Once i opened the windows, flies visited the room. They need to consider air-condition or fan. The room was ok! However, when i booked the room, the details said " single room with double bed". When i got the hotel, I was given a single room with single bed. The room was not even numbered. May be the room number fell off and they didn't care to put it back. I was not happy that the room on the advert was not the room given to me. The room on the advert was totally different from the room i was given!!! I reported this but the reception desk told me that Expedia made wrong adverts. I chatted with someone from Expedia, the person said their advert was correct but it wasn't!!! I was told that they will get back to me after speaking to the management but they didn't. They supposed to refund me some money because the room i paid for was not given to me!!! Overall, the place is good for transportation!!! The receptionist was good and helpful. The rooms are cleaned everyday. Will I use the place again? I may !!! Recommendations 1. Update the charging sockets with with USB port (sockets type).2. Provide a fan in the room or air conditioner. 3. The window has no protection and it supposed to! 4. Bed should have at least two pillows. ( one pillow is not enough). 5. There is need to have channels that speaks English on the TV. Good luck.
