Fantastic apartment
First of all, Marcelo is/was a fantastic host. He was so helpful during both check in and out, going above and beyond. He made sure his apartment was clean and had everything we could need. It is a very modern apartment and was extremely quiet. When we had a question, or two he was extremely responsive. Perfect location.

Beautiful week walking Paris
We just spent over a week in this gorgeous rooftop apartment. It was the perfect home base for wandering and exploring the streets of Paris. It was located in a lively and safe neighborhood close to delicious bistros and lovely shopping, and incredible museums, both Art and Historical. Cabs and Ubers were easily and readily available. Family who reside in Switzerland met us there for a beautiful reunion. The personal space and beautifully landscaped rooftop patio made it the perfect place for two couples to spend the week. We are looking forward to more vacations there in years to come. Thank you to Marcello for your hospitality and especially for sharing your beautiful home.

We stayed nearly two weeks over Christmas and the New Year at Marcello’s beautiful apartment in the Marais and everything was great. Marcello is the most responsive and helpful host we have ever encountered with VRBO. He arranged private car airport service for us, met us upon arrival at the drop off point on Rue Saint Martin and came on our day of departure to help with our luggage. We have, historically, stayed in the 6th or 7th arrondissement but really enjoyed the Marais. The apartment is an easy walk to many fine restaurants and, also, to the Metro. We highly recommend this apartment and look forward to returning!

My favorite ever!
This place was perfect for us. The location cant be beat with Center Pompideau just across the street and so many cafes and stores close by. We enjoyed the outdoor terrace and the spacious interior. The apartment was perfect for us and i am planning to come again. Other reviews have mentioned the host Marcello. He was truly the best i have experienced in over 10 years of using VRs. He arranged our transport arriving at CDG and departure from Gare du Nord.

We had fantastic stay in Paris and Marcello was an amazing host. He was very patient with our delayed arrival and very welcoming once we arrived. He spent time walking us through the aprtment and made sure we had everything we needed upon checkin and throughout our stay. Upstairs and outside patio are very spacious and we can only imagine how nice the outside patio must be during better weather (we had a bit of rain so didnt get to enjoy it to its full potential!). Location is perfect. Le Marais is an amazing neighborhood. We were able to walk to many of the must-see attractions and for the others the 1 min walk to the metro was always appreciated. Wonderful stay and can't speak highly enough of Marcello. Enjoy!

Great Central Location/Excellent Manager
The apartment is part of a very large, fairly unattractive complex. But as soon as you leave that square it's a super great neighborhood. Great markets, cafes, the Pompidou is literally next door, etc. The manager couldn't have been more accommodating and professional. Great communication throughout. Only one bedroom has a king bed. The other was smaller than we expected. Kitchen was very well equipped. Our main criticism is the quality of bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bath towels. They should all be retired and replaced. We also wished the apartment was in a quainter and smaller building rather than a large impersonal complex. For the price, we would definitely recommend it. But definitely bedding and bathroom towels need updating. That would have made it a 4 star review instead of 3.

I respect all point of views and for sure you can't pleased everyone but among my more than 120 reviews those guests were the first to complain about the building, the towels, the bedding ..... very surprising that's all I can say. Also, for their information I am an owner and not the manager and all beds are king.

Incredible location in Le Marais
3 out of 5 stars as the master bedroom is only separated by a thin curtain (which is described in the listing) and the decore is a little dark for my liking. The upstairs bar and sitting room are neat but we didn't use the space at all and would only likely use it if we lived there full time and were throwing a party.. Easy to contact host and beds were vefy comfortable.

Vrbo is a community built on trust, exchange and the well-being of the travelers who are welcomed into my home. Normally, when this trust is broken by travelers, I'd rather talk to them face-to-face at checkout, as I make a point of welcoming guests on arrival as well as on departure, so that I can get their impressions. The problem was that I wasn't able to tell them in person because Tetiana and her husband left a day earlier than planned without notifying me, and on top of that they left someone in the apartment whom I didn't know. I was also very disappointed to find that they hadn't emptied the bathtub, that my bathroom was flooded and that there was garbage everywhere in the apartment. I don't pay any particular attention to their rating or comments they gave me, as they are all antinomic (dityrambic title & satisfactory comments) but I wanted to share my experience. Anyway, I will continue to welcome travelers from all over the world with great pleasure, and try to make their stay as pleasant as possible. See you soon :)

Above and beyond
Above and beyond relates to both the wonderful location, with its rooftop terrace, and to Marcello’s add on support services. A special place and a special person. The penthouse enhanced our Paris visit enormously.

Great place and host!
Large two story penthouse with a gardened rooftop patio. Next to the Pompidou Muesum so the area is bustling yet the lodging is very quiet and was cool even when it was 82 degrees F outside. Beds and showers were wonderful. Loved sitting on the patio in late afternoon after a day of wandering Paris. Short walk to good up to excellent judgement restaurants.

We had high expectations and this apartment exceeded them
If we could give this apartment six stars, we would. We’ve rented numerous VRBO apartments, and this is one of the best. Great apartment, good neighborhood, fabulous responsive owner. (One of the pleasant surprises……. On the front end, Marcello arranged for a car to meet us at the train station. He was waiting in the courtyard of the apartment to help us in and walk us through have everything worked. In our experience, it’s rare to have such a smooth handoff).

Great location with enough space for our whole family
Marcello’s apartment is in a great location, right by the Pompidou Center. It was an easy walk to the river, the Louvre, other key attractions, and a million shops and restaurants. Marcello was a spectacular host. He arranged our transportation from the airport and to the train station. He was very communicative and responsive to all of our questions. The apartment offered enough space for our large group; the sitting area can be used as a third bedroom, which is how we used it. The best feature of the apartment is the rooftop patio. It’s a beautiful spot to relax or have a meal.

La Marais Beauty
A truly great apartment in the heart of La Marais around the corner from the Pompidou Museum. The apartment even has a beautiful rooftop garden terrace to take a coffee or share a bottle of wine. The apartment is also a stones throw from the closed roof food market known as Le Marche du Enfants Rouge and the Enfantes du Marche restaurant that everyone needs to eat at if you are staying in Paris. The host Marcello is quite literally one of the best hosts we have come across in nearly 10 years of our travels and use of apartment rentals. He secured car transport to and from the airport including meeting us at 6:30 in the am to get us out to the next stop of our holiday and even went out of way to personally go over to Bistro Paul Bert to try and secure us a reservation (regrettably the restaurant was closed for summer vacation when we were there. A 5 star stay. Thank you Marcello!

Our Home in the Marais
WOW! My husband and I (we are in our 60s) stayed 8 days at this property, and it was fabulous. Everything was as described and depicted in the photos. Clean and quiet, with a super comfortable bed and good shower with excellent water pressure. The pièce de résistance was the large rooftop garden, which was as lovely as it was peaceful. We loved flaneuring throughout the Marais to find delicious shops, cafes, and everyday life. We’ve had good experiences with hosts in the past, but Marcello was by far the BEST! He was quick to respond during the booking process, but his efforts were extraordinary thereafter. He booked our driver for arrival at CDG and met us in the middle of the night (our flight was delayed) to help us with luggage and to show us the apartment. He provided lots of excellent recommendations, and he offered to make reservations and help in any way needed. He also reserved a driver for check out and again helped with our luggage. We highly recommend this property without reservation. We feel that we have made a new friend and hope to re-book soon. Many, many thanks Marcello!

The property is spacious and modern, with the most comfortable beds. The Centre Pompidou, is across the road, Cafes and restaurants everywhere, Within walkiing distance: Musée Picasso. ... La Maison Européenne de la Photographie. ... Place des Vosges. ... Maison Victor Hugo. ... The Pompidou Center. ... Musée Carnavalet – Museum of the History of Paris. ... Musée Cognacq-Jay. ... Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature. Notre dame We did not need to catch the metro or a taxi the whole time we were able to comfortably stroll. Marcello was great. Answered all queries same day and was a font of valuable information.

Good Location Apartment Needing Investment
Marcello was a gracious host arranging for airport transfers to and from his property and meeting us upon check-in and check-out. A modern apartment, the unit is in a good location and has the amenities you would expect. Unfortunately the drain in the master shower was clogged flooding the bathroom floor, rendering it unavailable during our stay and forcing our party of 4 to use 1 shower. Pillows for the beds were lacking, with only two provided on each of the beds for the four in our party. While a few extra pillows were found in a closet but they had no pillow cases. The shower towels have definitely seen better days as they were bleach stained and crusty, presumably because of being air dried.

To let the next hosts know what kind of guests Adam and his wife are and how ashamed they should be I’ve decided to restore the truth regarding their review. For sure that if all my guests damaged my unit like they did it would need new carpet, bed, Furniture and glass all the time. Unfortunately I can’t attached pictures and wish I could . The drain in the bathroom has been fixed and if they’ve told me the issue during their stay I’d of course have sent a plumber. They are 2 baths and one shower in the apartment , so space enough to shower for a party of 4 even though the one they’re complaining about wasn’t available. Concerning the pillows it’s all lies as they are brand new and can even show the receipt. For their information, in Europe it’s not like in the US and we don’t put 3,4 or 5 pillows on a bed. Nonetheless They are extra pillows available in the closet but again they didn’t ask. The only towel, not all of them, which was bleached has been removed but it’s nothing compare to the damage they’ve caused and hidden by a broken glass filled by wine to my head bed, carpet, furniture and don’t even mention the fact that my cleaning lady cut herself with pieces of glass they left under the bed. The worse is that When I sent a WhatsApp asking them why they didn’t tell me and let them know that she cut herself they didn’t even apologize !!!!!!!! Who does that ?? As you can imagine I had to throw away my dishcloths they used to clean their mess. When I offer a free early checkin like I did with them it’s because I want make my guests visit’s as enjoyable as possible and the only thing I ask in return is to respect my property like your own. Merci 🙏

Marcello is a doll. Arranged a car for us and allowed us to drop our luggage off before actual check in. Apartment is lovely and the location just fabulous. My only recommendation would be an upgrade of bedding: pillows / sheets / blankets as they seemed worn and in need of refresh.

Extremely nice apartment in the 3rd, almost directly above a Metro station. The shopping just east and southeast of the apartment was amazing. That alone would be reason enough to stay at Marcello's wonderful property. And incidentally, Marcello was extremely helpful with making reservations at restaurants w/o online booking, and where the quality of our French would have been a problem.

Marcello was an excellent host. He met us at the apartment for check in and gave us a thorough tour and orientation. He also met us for check out and helped carry our bags to the Taxi he had arranged for us for travel to our next destination. The apartment is nicely appointed. The upstairs sitting area and private outside patio is a plus. The apartment is located close to subway stops which is convenient. One item to note, is that the master bedroom is not private. It is separated from the main floor living area by sliding see through partitions. One can see this if you look closely at the pictures of the listing, but we did not fully realize this until check in. The apartment is located on a pedestrian walkway which was a plus for lack of noise but made it more difficult to use Taxi’s or Uber. All in all, we had a nice stay and again, Marcello is an excellent host.

Overall an excellent choice.
Great place in a great location. Private rooftop terrace with seating was very nice for an evening glass of wine and cheese board. All shopping within walking distance. Owner met us at the flat when we arrived and also arranged airport transportation for us. Marcello was super friendly, and was there for any questions we had via text message through our stay.

This wonderful duplex apartment is more than we could have hoped for! It had three separate sleeping areas, which meant our teenagers had their own rooms and we could find solitude after a long day of sightseeing too. There were many updated amenities, and the penthouse roof deck was a delightful place to sip wine, read and relax. The Marais district was a fun place to grab food, drinks and people watch. The dinner and nightlife there was super hip, with many choices. Despite this the apartment was tucked in the back of the building, allowing for peace and quiet. Marcello is a wonderful host—he booked cars for us and his advice and written guides were very helpful.

Spacious gem right next to Centre Pompidou!
We enjoyed a one week stay in this roomy, air conditioned apartment. The soaking tub was excellent- revitalizing after long walks in Le Marais! The rooftop garden was also a great reprieve from the hustle of the city. We enjoyed our morning tea there and beautiful sunsets. The host arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport gate upon our arrival and with a ride to the station at our departure. He also had a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived. I would definitely recommend this apartment. The host was especially helpful and gracious.

Amazing stay in Paris!
My family and I stayed here while in Paris and we absolutely loved this place! Marcello, the owner, helped us get transportation and met with us to show us around the apartment and give us recommendations. The apartment was so beautiful and we loved the terrace upstairs. The location was absolutely amazing, walkable to so many places. Next time we are in Paris, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Fantastic apartment in a great area
One of the best things about this property is Marcello himself. We are an American family of 4 visiting Paris and Marcello arranged transfers to and from the airport. He had helpful maps of the Metro and great suggestions for dinner. The showers and beds are all very comfortable and he also has air that worked well (we were visiting during a warm front at the end of July). He has a great rooftop patio and we enjoyed a light dinner up there (after a bigger lunch of course). He has everything you need and the apartment was amazing. We loved the area with a very happening vibe. Lots of restaurants, shops, bakeries and a grocery mart all with in steps from place. Book it now, you won’t regret it!

Even better than the pics
I don’t think the pics really do this place justice. The apartment is spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The beds are comfortable. The place is located in a great area. Our host was incredibly helpful - helping to arrange transportation to and from the apartment and giving us a thorough overview of the apartment amenities. Definitely would stay there again.
