"We have stayed here many times & always return because the rooms are clean & comfortable but also because there is free parking behind one of the buildings. There has recently been a change of ownership but it appears that this hasn't affected the way things are run. The staff are very helpful. Be aware that there are 3 buildings that house rooms. The Tudor Wing is the original part where the front desk is located. The rooms in this section can be prone to noise (tables & chairs being shuffled). Better to opt for rooms in the Colonial Wing. Also bear in mind that should you make a request regarding room preference, there is no guarantee it will be fulfilled, which is a shame. The beds are comfortable & the furnishings are well maintained. The location is ideal - close enough to the CBD but in a peaceful location. The rose gardens across the road are an added bonus. There is a good little fish & chip takeaway shop just down the road as well as a milkbar. There is a pricey restaurant nearby but it has weird hours. We have never eaten meals in the hotel so cannot comment but the menu looks reasonable enough. It's hard to past The Rose Park Hotel. Highly recommend."
