"Lovely old house. Loads of character. Very spacious room with Super sized bed which was so comfy! Lovely big bath with shower and lots of lovely hot water. Excellent breakfast included. David the host very friendly and helpful. Bonus visit on arrival from Figgy, the gorgeous cocker spaniel who tried everything to get titbits at breakfast "

"The food was fantastic. I have stayed there on many ocassions with my family and it is great value for money and it's an easy bus ride (30 mins) into the heart of Edinburgh. Stayed over for 2 nights and spent a day in Edinburgh at the Christmas markets. If you are looking for a quiet spot outside the city with a swimming pool , amazing views and some homely luxury , with a Scottish Castle feeling then this is where to stay. Great hotel. "
