The old town of Penicuik was once a leading paper making town in Midlothian,near Edinburgh. High quality paper and bank notes were produced here. The Town hall is a notable landmark.

Room was updated, very clean and comfortable. We had one night where an alarm went off but after that we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is walkable to all the old town sights and the Castle. We would stay here again!
