"The room is spacious and has lovely views. Unfortunately; it was not as clean as we had expected. The resort is lovely but tired and in need of maintenance and touch ups. I would definitely rate it as four stars, not five. The staff are lovely."

"This is such a lovely villa in a quiet, beautiful part of Portugal. If you're looking for sleek and modern this won't be for you but if you're looking for rustic charm then you've come to the right place. The villa is quirky and spotlessly clean with a beautiful deep pool and endless fruit-filled gardens. The villa has everything you need and Eulalila was so very helpful. Both coasts are within easy reach by car and there are beautiful walks nearby. We would definitely come back."

"We had an absolute 5/5 stay in Monchique!From the moment we arrived, the authentic Portuguese feel made the whole experience special and grounded. The location couldn't have been better,it was so convenient to town, making it effortless to get around and explore. Plus, the views are completely breathtaking, a massive highlight of our stay.We also noticed past reviews mentioning issues with the hot water, but for us, the hot water worked perfectly.Huge shoutout to the hosts as well. The support both over the phone and locally on the ground was incredible, very responsive, helpful, and attentive whenever we needed anything.Couldn't have asked for a better start to our trip. Highly recommend staying here if you want an authentic, seamless Monchique experience."

"Das Ferienhais ist ein altes Steinhaus mit Geschichte und Charme. Da darf man natürlich keinen Luxus erwarten, aber für uns war es genau das Richtige! Die Terrasse mit dem Pool ist super, die Aussicht bis zum Meer am Horizont großartig. Wir haben uns sofort in den alten Olivenbaum verliebt und die Abgeschiedenheit sehr genossen. Man braucht in jedem Fall einen Mietwagen, um zum Einkaufen (5 min.), zu Restaurants (unterschiedlich weit weg) oder zum Strand (ca. 40 min.) zu fahren. Wir haben sehr viele schöne Ausflüge an die Küste und auch ins Hinterland gemacht und haben uns jedes Mal total gefreut, wenn wir wieder im Ferienhaus ankamen und die Ruhe dort genießen konnten. Die Kommunikation und die organisatorische Abwicklung war absolut problemlos. Ein Hinweis: Die Treppe runter zum Schlafzimmer ist sehr steil, was für uns kein Problem war, aber mit kleinen Kindern könnte das vielleicht etwas schwierig sein. Auch weil das Kinderzimmer auf der oberen Etage ist. Wir haben als Paar einen sehr schönen Urlaub dort verbracht und können das Haus absolut empfehlen."

"Finding the reception was a challenge as Google maps brought us to the Spa. Check in was simple and easy with very pleasant staff. We had a lovely stay and the termal spa was delightful, again with helpful and pleasant staff. The grounds of the resort are lovely with a lot of old broadleaf trees. The grounds are in need of a complete clean up and Maintenance. It's a pity because the walk up to the Fonte dos Amores is so lovely and peaceful. Breakfast is Fab with great choice for everyone."

"We had a wonderful stay at this vacation home. The location is absolutely beautiful, with stunning surroundings that made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. They were responsive, helpful, and made everything easy. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again."
