"We stayed 3 weeks. Wi-Fi was excellent, a small car is a must, flies and mosquitoes were a challenge, so we bought netting for our beds. The manager was super kind and brought fresh bananas and figs regularly. We also enjoyed the neighbor dog and cat that visited daily. The accommodations were basic, the biggest downside was the broken-down couch that needs to be replaced."

"We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our stay in Madeira, lovely hotel with great views out to the Atlantic Ocean. Hotel is situated on the promenade of Ponta Da Sol and takes up about 2/3rds of it. It’s been built in a sympathetic style to fit in with the local area. Breakfast was included in our room rate and we found a good selection of hot and cold food. We never used the indoor pool but did you’d the interface on the 4th floor on a couple of occasions. "It is a very nice house with adequate facilities albeit with heavy dark furniture. The kitchen and living room were very dark. Most vacation homes provide at least a few amenities but here nothing, not even a few matches to light the kitchen stove. The narrow roads are clogged with huge buses making it difficult and unsafe. Property manager was not friendly communicating by grunting.. Was told it was peaceful and quiet, it's not. Dogs constantly barking day and night, cars and motorbikes flying...
