The stay was awesome! I’m not sure if I missed it on the listing but we assumed the property would have beach towels. I would add that there’s no beach towels available. Also when we left it seemed like the maids were waiting for us to leave. We left at like 9:15 and there were sitting outside on the curb waiting for us to leave. It just seemed like we were rushed. All in all it was a great trip and we’ll definitely be back!

My daughters sweet 16

We arrived at the gate of our rental not really knowing what to expect. We’d received a text telling us the gate code, door code and confirmation code but didn’t know what to do with that info. The guy at the gate was extremely polite and helpful. He got us in the gate using the code we were sent and told us exactly how to find the house. When we arrived at the house I couldn’t help but sit back and listen to my kids excitedly run up and down the stairs! The pool was right out of our back door (a very short walk) and the beach was right behind the pool! I was very impressed! It exceeded the pictures from the post! We will definitely be going back and hopefully for longer this time!

Short Stay

It was for a wedding party. The refrigerator did not work and my diabetic medication was ruined. The grooms man cake was inedible. I was very highly disappointed! The technician said they knew about it before they were renting this condo out. Very disappointed!

Needs major updates

The location was perfect however it was not a very clean or updated unit. Appliances were old and rusty, the fridge DID NOT cool. I lost 300 worth of groceries. Lighting was not good at all. Overall it was very disappointing and expensive for what it was. I would not recommend this unit until major updates on furniture and appliances are made.

Great location in Barrier Dunes

We booked this home for a last minute trip. We love staying at Barrier Dunes. This was our first time in this unit. There was a partial ocean view. The unit was fairly close to the beach. It was an easy walk for us.

Was not a very comfortable stay.

The internet would not connect to the tv none of the network names existed, someone was suppose to come and fix but never showed up. The internet should be set up when we arrive. The grill outside did not work. The fridge did not get cold enough cold keep to our food and drinks in and it was on the highest setting. The washer would no drain and spin the clothes. The dryer, I had it on for over two hours and my clothes still weren’t dry. On the positive the bed was very comfortable.

The condo was very clean and very comfortable. The location was great so close to the pool and beach. Enjoyed the pet friendly home. Could not have wished for more.

Great location

The property is a great location in a gated community. Close proximity to beach and clubhouse pool. Pickleball courts are also nearby. The condo is basic and practical. We had an issue arise with hot water but was quickly resolved when we reported it - even on a Sunday. We would stay here again.

Shower was disgusting and moldy. Ants in the kitchen, and dirty carpet on steps, sand in dining area. Only plus was a fairly comfortable master bed and great beach access. Front gate was never locked or staffed.

The location of the home was perfect. The beds were actually quite comfortable, and the home was relatively clean. Everything was in working order, and we had no issues. The only suggestion I would make is to better stock the kitchen (only 3 coffee cups, sketchy coffee pot, very few spoons, and no dish soap).

Nice location

The beach was a 5 minute walk and we could bring our dogs. Had a great stay but there were some small issues. Gas grill needs repairs, problems with door lock, and grout in shower was moldy. Issues did not affect stay.

Great place - nice pool, close to beach

Very nice overall. You must be able to climb stairs. Nice amenities; we enjoyed reading in the sun by the pool, walking on the beach... Car-port was just about too narrow for our full-sized truck. An unexpected (but apparently planned) power outage of a few hours took us a bit by surprise. But no damage done. We would certainly come again ... but might seek "handicapped accessible"!

Easy walk to beautiful beach. But: only three coffee cups and no wine glasses for our group(4). Drip coffee maker died second morning. Windows and sliders need cleaning.

Nice, comfortable stay

I've stayed at this property before, and at other units in the Barrier Dunes Community. Barrier Dunes is great - I love the short walk to the beach and the proximity to the state park. As with my prior stay, I found the townhome to be comfortable and nice. I'm not sure why this place gets so many bad reviews. It's true that it shows more wear than other units in Barrier Dunes where I've stayed - but those units are also more expensive. Personally, I think the trade-off for a lower price for a place with a little wear to be reasonable. I did take 1 star off due to the floors being a bit dirty. I would still stay here again.

Great beach access!

We had a great stay here. Condo was comfortable and very clean. The neighbors were were extremely kind and friendly. We only have two complaints: 1. The dishwasher did not work and even after contacting rental company twice no one ever came out to fix it. 2. The ice maker didn’t work. We never reported it because we didn’t want to waste anymore time.

Barrier hideaway june 30 2023

Pretty clean for pet friendly place. Carpet stains a little. Bedding clean and nice. Clean bathrooms but could stand little bleach at base of shower. No hair dryer but i guess wasn't supposed to have bu4 i didnt catch that. Could use more silverware. Slow drain in shower. Some water/hot water issue but quick to respond..enjoyed our stay. Would stay again.

Love Barrier Dunes, condo was mediocre.

We have stayed at Barrier Dunes for several years now and love our vacations there; however, this particular condo was nothing special at all. The location within the Barrier Dunes community was great, with short walks to the beach and both pools. The condo itself was pretty dated. The paint kind of faded/scuffed up, carpet was old, main sliding glass door was hard to operate, and the stove was horrible. The refrigerator was also comically small. We will definitely be going back to Barrier Dunes, but will try to get a different condo unit next time.
