"The pool was beautiful; so refreshing. It was lovely not to have to rush to get a shaded sunbed for our granddaughter - there were always plenty of beds and umbrellas available around the pool. Unfortunately, to get from the reception area to our rooms we had to negotiate spiral staircase made of stone. Having to transport a pushchair and carry a baby up and down these stairs was very dangerous and unreasonable. We were very surprised that there was no lift available. We had the same issue when we went to the pool or beach - another spiral staircase and no lift. The quality of food was good and the prices were similar to those in the resort."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Rooms were clean. The location was perfect. Right across the street for the beautiful beach and in the perfect location for nightly strolls. Lots of shops and restaurants. There was a convenient store in the back of the hotel with baked goods, meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables. Breakfast buffet was amazing!! Looked forward to it each morning! The Marina is a short walk to catch the tour for the Bengali cave tour. Would highly recommend this hotel!"

"Our room was very clean. The lobby and pool area and cafeteria was very clean. The staff were very polite and helpful. Even though our room did not overlook the beach, it didn’t matter. Our room overlooked the apartment behind us but it was good. I would definitely stay here again."

"A wonderful villa in a fantastic location. A very spacious villa, much larger than it looks on the photos. A good sized pool and the villa had absolutely everything you could possibly need. A lovely five minute walk to lots of great restaurants and shops, five minute walk to a small beach and ten minutes to the larger beach with great bars and cafes on the beach . The villa was beautifully clean and the housekeeping staff replaced bedding and towels mid way through our ten day stay. Communication was excellent with the owner Derek, and the local agent, George, kept us up to date with earlier check in information. This was the best villa we have stayed in and very handy for the beach, boat ferries to nearby Portimao and Praya de Rocha. Cheap uber taxi to Slide and splash, which was a fantastic day out for children (and adults). Best food was in Benjamim’s bistro just off main square. We highly recommend this villa, even better than we thought it would be based on the great reviews."
