"Lovely setting but no one there to give us the key even though we’d sent 2 emails requesting info regarding collection with time of arrival. Noise from 9pm TIL 4am so couldn’t sleep. Dog faeces on paths. Toilet broken. No microwave. Needs updating and cleaning of the shower room. Lounge and bedroom roomy and comfortable. "

"My room overlooking the castle walls was spotless. However, the furnishings and decor were a little exhausted looking there and in public areas.

"Excellent lodge really clean could have done with more crockery and cutlery as only 4 of each items so why have a dishwasher? Also the step to the hot tub needs a non slip mat under neath as extremely dangerous as it moves when getting in and out and one of our party did fall when exiting the hot tub, but saying we would definitely return as lovely peaceful site and really friendly managers "

"We chose the house because it was equidistant for everyone to travel to. We had 3 cars and there was ample parking for all of them. The house & gardens were amazing.We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and BBQ (although it is different from the photo ) Everyone commented on how comfy and luxurious the bed/bedding was. The layout of the kitchen and dining area is better than the photos too and we enjoyed breakfast and playing games & dominoes on the table. The Friendship inn provided an excellent venue for Fridays evening meal and is literally 2 minutes walk away. Sam’s communication was very prompt and helpful and we all highly recommend the property as a place to stay.Thank you for helping us make great memories."
