"Excellent well designed modern lodge in superb condition. Ensuite bedrooms, comfortably furnished lounge area and fully fitted kitchen.
Peaceful, secure countryside setting.
Would definitely recommend for a quiet restful holiday.

"From the moment that we stepped inside, we were all really impressed by the house: it's compact, but therecwas plenty of space for 3 adults (me and 2 grown up kids). The beds were very comfortable and the twin room opens into the conservatory with a view of the garden which makes it feel very light and spacious. There was everything that we needed in the kitchen and a lovely surprise in the fridge! The location is great: there are lovely walks around the village and into the woods and a...
"Wonderful property in a stunning location. However, so sorry and disappointed to say;
* we were surprised at £2.50 charge per washing machine load - we have never been charged extra for using a washing machine in a property before. You therefore need loose change, if you want to do any laundry
* nowhere in the apartment to hang washed laundry / wet dog towels / wet dog coats (an airer would be useful).
* no dishwasher, so we unfortunately found dirty crockery and cutlery (these are only as...

Excellent
Lovely shops to browse around in with plenty of fantastic architecture to look at including a castle. There is a barge/cafe near the castle with some good food deals,and very reasonably priced.

I highly recommend the 'Swan and Salmon'. We had an amazing Sunday roast there. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was delicious. Sconce and Devon park is great for walks and the playground is fab for kids.

Excellent cafe next door for breakfast, castle grounds just across the road, newark aviation museum 10 minutes away.
"Nice hotel, got some great parts done ok parts.
Check in on Saturday was very slow. Not sure why, but it took 25 mine to get checked in as some customers ahead of us, seemed to take forever to get resolved. Not sure why that was, staff, systems, or booking issues... Who knows, but with only 2 people before us, 25 mins is not great.
The hotel is nice though,service is good, rooms are good, no real complaints. The lifts are very slow though and we thought they would break at any time....
Overall though,not a bad stay abd rooms were nice and quiet and comfortable which is the most important thing. "
