"We had a lovely overnight stay on a Sunday evening. The staff were nice and we were given a free upgrade to a Privilege room which was very big and quiet. After a morning swim, I enjoyed a tasty breakfast from the buffet. The only negatives were that the plug in the bathroom didn't work and the decor was a bit tired. However, this is to be expected with older buildings to some degree. There are also beautiful rooms in the old manor such as the library and lots of places to sit in the main...

"This is a good business hotel, access, parking, public spaces are all convenient and well laid out. For working people, I would say this is a very good option. The room we had was on the smaller side as was the bathroom, the bed was good, perhaps a little firm for my taste. "Very friendly welcome and a lovely room. The staff were so helpful and the cooked breakfasts were excellent. But the DJ night didn't finish at 11 as the in-room message said it would (midnight, then bar noise for another while) ; the fire alarm went off the next night (quickly cancelled so clearly accidentally) but then you could hear furniture being moved around in the bar/cafe in the small hours... I guess for cleaning. I'd recommend taking earplugs. "
