"All aspects of the property inside & outside are kept clean & tidy,location is in a nice,quiet area,breakfast we can't fault as it filled us up,the owners are lovely & friendly & that's what makes us come back as well as the comfortable rooms,we also feel safe here,there are plenty of toiletries in the bathroom if you forget anything but everything is clean & tidy,we love it here & we will keep revisiting "

"We had a lovely 3 night mini break at Lavender cottage. An absolutely gorgeous little place and Rebecca the owner goes that extra mile to ensure you have all you need including welcome hamper and plenty on line advice should you need it! We had friends join us for a night who book high end holiday lets and they were very impressed so thats recommendation enough! There is on site parking but you would need a very small car however unrestricted street parking is plentiful. Southwell a beautiful unspoilt town with plenty to keep you occupied. If you want to venture further afield there is an excellent bus service you can literally ditch the car! All in all a wonderful stay!"

"It's was a very cute quiet cottage. Well stocked kitchen and very helpful staff. The only thing that would have made it better would be Wi-Fi. Highly recommend "

"It was lovely. It was quiet and away from people, v close to local amenities and sites. The WiFi is spotty but that is no criticism, it was great to know i could just read a book without constantly checking my screen. Will definitely come again."

"Convenient location and clean. Easy checkin with the key available from pub across the road. Had unusual single cup kettle and coffee maker and good selection of teas and coffees. Lights and bathroom tap were on timing sensors and both were a bit annoying particularly the tap when you were trying to fill a jug for the kettle. Bedclothing was a bit tired and there were only 2 fairly flat pillows on a standard size double bed. The thing I really didn’t like though was the musty smell of bedding and towels. Smelt like they had been put away damp after being washed. "
