"The room was lovely and very clean. The Spa/pool was good but it was missing a jacuzzi really. Very busy on the Saturday and couldn’t get a seat by the pool for a while. Loads of people on their phones whilst around the pool area, which sign state are not allowed but staff never told anyone to put them away! Breakfast was really good, lots of choice for us. Had dinner in lounge bar. Pizza was decent but the duck breast although very nice, the potatoes that come with it was 6 very small cubes! Would have expected more than that for the price. Overall the hotel is very well presented but there’s not much around it, so you’ll have to drive or get the train across the road for more entertainment/food choices."

"Ideally located in the centre of Reading. Very nice room equipped with all the amenities you could need. Only downside was the noise from the bar area below which could be heard in the room until 11pm. Despite this, I would stay here again."

"Mixed bag. Room lovely, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Had booked a spa package, and (obviously not the hotel’s fault) there were a lot of crying/screaming children in the pool, so would not book for a relaxing spa again. Ratina in the restaurant was lovely, although the food and drinks were just ok (and very overpriced)."

"The hotel its self is lovely! The room was great and the bed was genuinely one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve stayed in! Just be aware it’s on a busy street near the station and some pubs and can be quite loud!"

"Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the fridge and microwave availability. My only comment is there was no interior latch on the ground floor window which I would have preferred. But the location was convenient to Reading's main areas."

"Nice stay, beds were comfy and it’s only a 10 minute walk from the station. The only thing we had an issue with was when we checked in the receptionist loudly announced our room number so it was heard by other guests. As two young women, it’s not safe for others to know our room number so we would appreciate if staff were trained to not do this."
