"We only stayed here one night, but we had SUCH a positive experience! We booked the cheapest room, but upon arrival we were upgraded to Room 509, which felt like a penthouse--4 beds, a second-floor sitting room, amazing balcony overlooking downtown! Obviously my review might be a bit biased due to that awesome experience, but I still think our overall take is accurate. The staff was so helpful and easily available, the location is prime, super easy access to everything, the rooms are clean, though ours needed a little minor maintenance, like the stair rails to our little loft, which were a little wobbly, but those "downsides" are so minimal relative to the value (even if we hadn't been upgraded). The breakfast situation is AWESOME--not only are you in that gorgeous dining hall, but the selection of fresh pastries, juices, and all the breakfast staples, plus a superautomatic espresso machine (which was AWESOME) and alternative milk options (not part of the superautomatic, but you can make a regular espresso and add some oat milk or whatever). Our room was quiet, but I do see how it might be noisy if you had a room that was lower/closer to the street, and to be fair, we were there on a Monday night and not in the peak season. But we had a great experience and I would absolutely stay there again if I wanted to be in that area of Lisbon!"

"We had a very nice 3 night stay at Altis Avenida, Staff was very polite and curteous. The room was very clean and bathroom was fresh and functional. The bed was comfortable, the only drawback is the carpeting in the room. Hotel provided turn down service as well. The hotel location is excellent, it was easy to get around as very central. It has a beautiful rooftop terrace where we took beautiful pictures and had drinks one evening. Breakfast was very nice for European standards, including made to order eggs."

"Man the staff here are so great and so helpful, always happy to help, always felt comfortable talking with them. Rooms are small but sufficient, bed is ok. The breakfast buffet is excellent! Location is top notch, so convenient to so many things. And in a rare flat spot in the city lol. Would stay again!"
