The location was convenient and we enjoyed the little kitchen and refrigerator in the little apartment. However, both the kitchen and bathroom sink smelled like mildew. Other than that, it was pretty clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Very convenient location for a longish walk to restaurants and downtown. Owner is very nice and accomodated us with a late check-in (note that the latest check-in time is 3pm, I think), Large kitchen and dining on upper level with multiple refrigerators for guests. I didn't see a lounge area. Clean but a little shabby (old finishes, scratchy bedding). I would stay there again. Price was very good.

The building and the rooms are a little old and shabby. But everythig reasonably clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the organization (booking, access) etc. worked very well and reliably. The fellow guests were civilized, quiet, clean, and friendly. I hadn't shared a toilet and bathroom in a very long time; the sky-high hotel prices in Reykjavik made me resort to this guesthouse. I didn't regret the decision; I felt comfortable overall.

This place was fine for one night but was pretty run down in terms of accoutrements. But it was a very comfy bed and was close to the center of Reykjavík, so met our needs. The water did smell a bit of sulfur but was not unbearable.

Our first night in Iceland and it was lovely! We parked our rental car on the street (no parking fees!) and were close enough to downtown to walk there in a few minutes. For two nights we stayed in a little studio at the back of the property. There are steps down from the street and a sidewalk to the main door. Going around to the back, there's a pathway but it's not paved. The apartment was small and had a private bathroom, also small, but everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. There's a little kitchenette where we stored our grocery store food and a kettle to make tea and soup. Breakfast was available for a fee but we didn't eat there. The hosts were very nice. It was lovely, quiet and convenient. Highly recommend!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking on a dead end was really nice and the location was good. Not a lot of space to relax outside the rooms. You have to climb stairs for bedrooms so we opted to just bring in an overnight bag.

Room was clean, i took a studio it was at back of building and entrance to it was wierd and not maintained properly. Wish the entrance was looking more good and nice. Alll the cooking apns and pots are available at studio , but the sink in the studio room has food smell when ever i started operating the sink. Other than that evrything else was good

Enjoyed my stay here. The hosts are very welcoming & helpful. Checkin is clear and also has Igdlo sign on building for easy find. Location is close to basically everything, and Bus 55, which saves over $25 round trip to KEF airport. The room and shared bathroom were always clean also. The rooms are small and the lighting not so bright, but overall it was fine, and a very good value for an expensive place like Iceland.

Always enjoy staying here. Owners are present and helpful. Met new people and it is quiet but yet close to shops - within walking distance. Close to BSI Terminal - arriving from Keflavík airport it is easy 15 min walk to Igdlo Guesthouse.
