Right in the heart and really great location for walking around the city. It was easy and the self-check in made it so you just get to go right tonyour room. Fantastic property!
Really decent place, especially for the price. Very cut-and-dry self check-in kind of place. It’s in a good central location and only a few minutes away from Bus Stop 6. I did read other reviews that there were issues with the check in codes and noise from the bar, but I didn’t experience either of these problems.
If you don’t need a ton of amenities, I recommend it.
Overall, the property was great if you don’t mind being by loud bars and sleeping in warmer temperatures (air circulation was poor). The room was clean, spacious, and in very walkable area!
I was nervous about this hotel for two reasons: 1) I’ve never used a self check-in hotel before and 2) no one seemed to know about this place (and some reviews weren’t great). We stayed there three nights and I *strongly* recommend it!! Check-in was flawless and we had no issues the entire time. There were signs and info in our email that said what to do if we needed room cleaning or assistance, but we never needed to contact anyone. The room (and all parts of the hotel we saw) were clean and cozy. Some reviews mention how loud it is, and that is true. But, I’m not downgrading the hotel for that. They address the issue up front and provide ear plugs in case it’s too noisy, which I thought was cute (and smart). We live in a noisy part of our own town so it didn’t really bother us. It really depends on when you’re there. Saturday night was by far the loudest, but a white noise machine solved that. The other nights the noise was barely noticeable. I feel like the noise just confirms that the hotel is in a really popular part of town. It’s right around the corner from “rainbow road” and amazing shops/cafes. Everything is within walking distance. Bus stop 6 is about 5 minutes away. I really appreciated that we could store our luggage until the end of our last day (code works until midnight) so we could come get it and then walk straight to the bus stop. I loved loved loved my stay at Midtown. It gave a more elevated vibe than expected.
