"The cabins are cute and situated above the water with a nice view. The area is very nice and quiet and walkable out in the country. The cabins are dated with vintage kitchenettes and very basic furniture. You need to bring pretty much everything. Keeping in mind these are geared toward fishermen, a few added amenities could justify doubling the rates during the high season when they're kind of an overflow to the A-Bay vacation crowd. "While only at this cabin for 2 nights, we had a glorious time playing in the water, listening to the river, and skywatching over a campfire! The attention to detail in the decor, supplies, and directions was perfect! The outdoor decks were laid out in a manner to provide fantastic views of the river and offer shade if needed. Great time!- only piece of advice, if you are coming when it's hot outside, bring a fan or two."

"We had a great stay in this cottage. We (2 adults and 2 teens) had plenty of room to unpack and spread out for the week. The property was well taken care of and the house was clean and comfortable. The off-site host made check-in easy and reviewed everything with us. Kitchen was well stocked and allowed for some on-site cooking. We loved the Keurig brand coffee maker, which allowed us to make a regular pot or just a cup. There were plenty of towels and pillows/blankets. My husband used the shared dock to launch our kayak and fish in the bay. Sunsets were so pretty from the property. We didn't use the fire pit because it was quite buggy, but it is a really nice one with a bunch of chairs. We used the provided clothesline and hammock a few times. WiFi was a bit slow, but our Verizon cell phones worked pretty well. Plan to bring some bottled water as that doesn't taste too great. This property was a great home base for us to see Boldt and Singer Castles, as well as whitewater rafting on the Black River out of Watertown. We also spent a day in Ottawa which was an easy 90 mins away (Don't forget your passports for that.)!Overall, we highly recommend this cozy property for a great stay on Chippewa Bay."

"My stay was wonderful!! We were in town for the 4th of July to view the fireworks in Alex Bay and this was the closest hotel I could get. While we wanted to do a little sightseeing, I so wish I could have had more time just to spend watching the river, utilizing pool and cooking out on the grill. We did use the firepit, which was great, just don't forget the bug repellent!!! They loved my Pennsylvania skin!! Our room was on the Riverside, but don't be concerned if one isn't available for you, just walk around poolside and enjoy the view!! I would absolutely stay there again!! "

"We had everything we could possibly need and more. It was the perfect size for our family of three. We had a place to dock our boat, a lovely fire pit, and bbq for grilling. I had my dad and friends over for dinner and our hosts were so kind and put up a tent and table for us to use. I highly recommended this little slice of heaven for a relaxing trip!"
