"Very spacious accommodations air conditioner worked great. When checking in very unfriendly felt like we were checking into a prison!! I was in the lake area, North Carolina five times with my fire/police department from West Chester Pennsylvania area to provide hurricane relief and supplies to the residents affected by Hurricane Helene..was very disappointed in the reception we got even after we told them this is the fifth time I’ve been here helping …very disappointed, weren’t asking for anything, but it would’ve been nice to get a tad of appreciation and been treated better. When we got to the room, they were two flights of very steep steps. My wife called the front desk to ask if they had something less steps she was greeted with a response that was very hostile and annoyed.I am just recently recovering from major abdominal surgery. my wife was so put off by the reception that she got that we just wound up staying where we were and me Dealing with multiple flights of steps. Our situation has changed and we needed to extend our stay and come back for two more days once again unfriendly uncaring unsympathetic just blew us off and said go to Expedia or something we can help you!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! "

"Great place to stay!! Secluded and easy to access.The area between the cabin and the creek is perfect. We had our corn hole boards, camping chairs and music down there while the dogs ran around and played in the stream.Also a nice rolling herb garden to the side of the house with a cool swing and hiking trails right behind the house that go up the mountain.Lake Lure is only 15 minutes away where there is an Ingles grocery store and a handful of neat bars and restaurants with live music.The Cabin itself is really nice! This is a Fully furnished and equipped house with everything you would expect to find. Laundry room, full kitchen, great living room with giant windows that look up to the trees and sky, giant master bedroom/bath, 2nd bedroom downstairs is perfect and on the opposite side of the house from the Master bedroom.The loft upstairs is big with a couch/sitting area, 2 beds, its own bathroom and opens up to the upstairs deck.Great place, definitely recommend!!The deck upstairs off of the Loft area is great for watching the stars."

"We had an amazing weekend staying out here in Lake Lure. The house is close enough to all the necessities and restaurants around. The lake was still closed when we went, but that didn't detract from our time. There is still some river fishing and tons of beautiful views. The house itself was very cozy, the tub downstairs is massive if you like to take couple baths & the kitchen is stocked VERY well for cooking, and honestly it seems even some baking! (Mix by hand only of course!) It'd be easy to stock up and spend your time just at the house. My one complaint is the water heater! It isn't great, but it does still get warm enough for a shower/bath, but just about that. There's tons of storage if you need to put up clothes or anything of the sort. "
