Hilton Rome Airport

"Convenient to airport"
This stay reminded me of why I seldom stay at Hilton any more. They were much more concentrated on upselling than on making my stay comfortable. However, since this is the only game in town if you want to overnight at the airport, it is adequate for that purpose. The room was fine, as was the bathroom. I arrived at around 9:30 pm and there was a fairly long wait at check-in. I called down once the next morning to ask a question and gave up after spending many minutes on the phone listening to advertisements for various services I could purchase, without anyone actually answering my call. Finally, I have no patience for hotels that charge extra for internet these days; it should be standard. They might as well charge extra for toilet paper and the TV. There was free internet in the lobby only and I used it when I checked out in the morning. Unfortunately, t was such poor quality that it was more or less useless.

"Nice hotel with a great location"
I have stayed at other hotels in this area and was especially pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas. The only thing that disappointed me was that, although the hotel's site and other sites claimed there was an outdoor terrace (their site still states: The Contilia hotel, recently renovated, has an elegant breakfast room with external terrace.), I was told at the desk that no such terrace exists. At previous hotels, I've particularly enjoyed sitting in an outdoor space and really missed being able to do so on this trip. The lack of an outdoor space would be the only reason I wouldn't revisit the hotel.

"Good value for money"
I travelled around Italy about 15 years ago and one of the things I didn't like then was a lot of the accommodation. So, bearing this in mind, I was pleased with Next Door. Good points: Nice spacious accommodation with a big communal area to make food if you wanted. Great showers. Everywhere very clean (except the communal fridge). Bus stop right outside where the bus takes you right to Piazza Venezia. Quite a few nice eating places in the neighbourhood for dinner or breakfast. Nice big supermarket nearby if you wanted to eat in at all. The people who run Next Door are MEGA HELPFUL, I think they could solve any problem or answer any question you asked them - they made my stay in Rome really easy. Less good points: The bed was really, really uncomfortable so I found it difficult to sleep. I am really glad I took my own pillow as the ones in the room had no life left in them, neither did the mattress. It was a bit noisy, ear plugs helped with this but I was woken a few times. I guess you just take pot luck whether or not other guests are considerate enough to not shout in the corridor when they get back. Not a big problem with ear plugs anyway. Lastly the bus into town is rammed. Absolutely jam packed. It didn't matter what time I got on it at either end you were squashed in like you imagine tube trains in Japan. In hot weather this would be intolerable. Overall, I would recommend Next Door and would stay there again.

"Nice Hotel near Roma Termini Central Station"
Overall pleasant stay at hotel @ Prince Galles. Deluxe Triple room facility has a duplex setup which was an added pleasure. Bathroom was excellent, clean and modern steam shower facility. Reception lady was very courteous and helpful !! I would rate my stay in the hotel as above expectations and would again stay in the same hotel if I go back to Roma. Only point for improvement would be the wifi speed at the rooms which was quite slow
