"Not really that i expected "

"A deluxe King is smaller than a standard twin, which was strange. The king size bed looked only slightly larger than a queen so we ended up switching to a twin room. The hotel was fine but the beds were not very comfortable and for a Japanese hotel they amenity kit was sparse. It is a convenient location and the hotel does offer bikes to use which was a plus. I wish I would have realized that it was a very westernized hotel, which isn’t bad but food offerings were Italian and Spanish. it felt very disjointed as a theme. "

"Great value and all you need to stay and enjoy Kyoto. A short(10 minute) walk to the subway line and then 4 stops to Kyoto Station. Across the street from the Imperial Garden which is a huge park, green space, and historical site. "

"When I was booking this hotel I knew it looked nice from the pictures and close to Gion district but it exceeded my expectations beyond anything I could have imagined. First, the hotel is beautiful and from the moment you walk in you just feel the warmness and attentiveness from the staff. The rooms are super spacious, clean, modern and even the hallways are nice. The bakery here is another level of goodness! Every pastry we had here from bagels, donuts and puff breads are so airy, light and delicious. This bakery alone is worth the stay. Then the restaurant downstairs is another highlight to this amazing hotel and the rooftop bar. Don’t be afraid to check it out after a long day out even if it’s cold because they give you a warm blanket to enjoy the air and decompress with a yummy cocktail that you can order with vouchers they give you for booking through Expedia. Perk! Then another amazing thing about this magnificent hotel is that when you come out of the hotel and turn left you are just a five minute walk from enjoying famous geisha district and the their shops/restaurant. 💯recommend to stay here. "
