Little gem close to Manchester Airport
On the surface a traditional English guest house but the rooms, I should say suites, are extremely well appointed and comfortable. Walking distance to fabulous selection of restaurants also.

Lovely stay
Lovely stay very friendly. Photos showed dressing table in rooms and it didn’t have one so had to stand to do hair and makeup. Would have preferred to have one.

Nice setting and service but paper thin walls
Nice and welcoming, and well situated on a quiet residential road near Sale metro link, ideal to get to Old Trafford in 10 mins. However, the walls were paper thin and the constant coming and going of various guests meant that i was woken multiple times and felt like they were in my room. Bed and facilities were all good but sleep is important too!

A very comfortable stay near old Trafford
We had a wonderful stay for four nights at Lennox Lea. The apartment was perfect for our fmaily with two young children. The addition of the hamper of food everyday was brilliant. We didn't need to buy snacks or breakfast supplies!! The apartment has everything you need - coffee machine, washer, dish washer, microwave, heaters etc. I especially loved the massive bath tub. Looked like it was brand new and it was perfect for soaking in. My only complaint would be the bedding. The double bed was just far too small for two adults and the sofa bed for the children dipped in the middle which meant they kept rolling into each other. No big deal but would be made even better by a new sofa bed and at least a queen size bed. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It is the perfect location if you are travelling to Old Trafford (just three tram stops away). Plenty of pakrs, restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, and shops all within 5-10min walk. Free off-street parking always a bonus too.

Fabulous property lovely rooms, however the shower in our room had no power at all had to wash under a trickle of water , and the towels were frayed. However the room was beautifully decorated and presented very well and would happily stay again.

We did check the shower in your room after you left as there's nothing worse than a weak shower, but we did find it to be okay actually. Perhaps the dial needed turning further? Very usefull for longer stays.
The hotel location and cleanliness were as expected. Where to eat evening meal was just round corner. The bathroom was well fitted out. The double bed could have been wider.

Wow what a fantastic breakfast!!
We needed an overnight stay in Manchester to visit family and the Lennox Lea Hotel was perfect for this. They have an easy key system if you are going to be out late. The breakfast is very plentiful and if you want to swop breakfast cereals from Corn Flakes to Crunchy Nut Corn flakes they are more than happy to help. There was a pint of proper milk provided in our fridge so the tea in the morning was just like at home! And the breakfast was really really good! The hotel was lovely we would definitely stay here again. And the bed was so comfortable we both slept like a top......

Great for a weekend break
Had a lovely stay. Room very clean and comfortable and very well-equipped. Staff we met were lovely and very helpful. Liked the idea of continental breakfast in room, but croissants and pastries were disappointing on both days - not very fresh. Just a very minor complaint though!

In all everything was to a high standard but two things warrant comment: I was surprised to be supplied a prepackaged continental breakfast in the room. I thought I had booked a hotel - but maybe I didn't read all the small print. The second was strange - My room was also a fire escape route with a "break glass" key to the room outside.

Just to clarify, we are a self catering establishment offering studios and apartments which all have their own kitchen facilities, hence the breakfast in room. With regard to the fire escape, because we have two staircases, fire regulations dictate that guests should have access to both staircases in the event of a fire. Hotel was clean and the bed comfortable, the staff were very pleasant and courteous. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast being a prepackaged continental type.On that basis I would rate the hotel expensive as I could have booked into the Premier Inn for £36.5 less expensive, however there was only an apartment left and no 'normal' rooms and my relatives had already booked .

Nice Hotel within walking distance of Sale
Great Hotel, clean, modern room. Staff were lovely breakfast was a nice touch. Would stay again if visiting the area. Only wish we had more time at the hotel, we were to all day at an event. It was a nice room to relax and recoup.

December 17 stay at Lennox Lea Hotel, Sale
Very welcoming atmosphere and staff. Bar area relaxing. Restaurant is downstairs but well set out. We got an upgrade to an executive apartment (bedroom, bathroom and sitting room/kitchenette. Rooms warm and clean. Bed exceptionally comfortable. would definitely stay again. Only drawback is that there is no lift, and we were on the third floor.

Situated in leafy Sale a very tastefully decorated oldie worldie hotel wirh leanings to the late 1920's early 1930's. The twin room inwhich I stayed was comfortable, cosy and very quiet. A choice of breakfast either Continental or English with the upgrade to a full English is worth the extra. Manchester City Centre is only a handful of stops away by tram. Highly recomended

We booked the stay on a whim and got a great deal. This hotel is immaculate and has had a lot of work done on it. The food in the hotel was really great and there is plenty to eat and drink around it. With good links by tram to the city and close proximity to the airport, this hotel is fantastic. All of the staff that we met during our stay were really helpful and friendly. 11 our of 10 for a great stay.

For a hotel it has a lot to learn first of all the reception was very dull and not very welcoming the bed was on a slope and if you are driving a car watch the drive way in and out there's a dip in the road witch your car will ground the only good point was the breakfast the girl was brilliant at £99 per night I would not recommend it. You would be better going to the airport hotels same price

Hi David, We are very sorry you didn't enjoy your recent stay with us and that you feel we have a lot to learn. The Hotel has been run by the same family since 1975 and you're quite correct, we are always learning and trying to keep up with the ever changing commercial world! We are disappointed that you didn't like our reception area, as this is something that we receive many compliments about. Guests usually comment how cosy it is, but I suppose everyone's tastes are different. When guests make negative comments about beds, we take this very seriously as we feel a good night's sleep is essential when staying away from home. We are unaware of any sloping beds, and aren't sure which room you stayed in but we will be monitoring feedback on sloping beds very carefully from now on. We will have a look at the driveway and see if it's something that needs to be adjusted. Finally, we are pleased that you enjoyed your breakfast. At least we got something right!! No real DIY Cooking facilities,
I did think that this was a studio type apartment that I could cook for my self , Which it was not ! Bed was old snd noisey With a very old bed spread that was thicker then the thin soft mattress , curtains did not close fully one tissue in the tissue box that when I pushed it into the box , when they cleaned my room they put it back on the top of the empty box like they do so the empty box looks pretty . No evening meals served like they advertised, and this was a free upgrade! Pleased I did not get my original room if this was anything to go by

If you ever judge a place by the breakfast served, this has to be (for the price) one of the most filling, full of choice, and tasty morning meals I've enjoyed. There was fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheese, salami, cereals, whole fruit, marmalade, honey, marmite, muffins on top of which was a really tasty and well cooked 'Full English', for £5 extra over a continental, its a winner. What was impressive was that I'm sure it was the owner saying hello to guests last thing in the evening, only to find him behind the stove (and coming to check on us) the next morning. What a top guy, very jolly and seemed to be loving what he was doing, it shows. I'd happily pay more if just for the breakfast. Other than the owner the service elsewhere was very friendly but lacked consistency but for a little over £80 I'd be happy with a clean room, an all I could eat breakfast (again that breakfast) and the quiet location in which it is situated, any day of the week. On the basis of my stay the place deserves to be better appreciated and the owner (if that's who it was) deserves to be rewarded for his efforts.

I arrived quite late (9.45pm) and called in advance to let them know . On arrival I simply rang the doorbell and my key and room details were left at reception. The room itself was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom . Overall what I liked was that it is located in a quiet residential area and easy to find with plenty of parking

WOW. What a lovely hotel! I travel the entire UK on business & this is one of the best I've ever stayed in. Beautiful rooms, soft beds & the entire hotel...you can tell that the owners want to give you the best experience. Breakfast room in so nice and I was served by a beautiful lady.

Lovely hotel, good location
Hotel has a nice homely feel, staff very polite and helpful. Breakfasts have lots of choice so plenty to set you up for the day. Bar area is lovely and hotel is very handy for takeaways, restaurants and the metro station. Only a little thing but the rooms were sometimes a little bit chilly, especially if you were in them through the day.
