Incredibly walkable location in the mouth of Chinatown. Ended up being out of the room most of my days and slept soundly each night in my room.

It's a lovely renovated hotel. Some rooms can feel a little cramped. But they're all updated and well-designed. You really can't beat the price and the luxuries in the middle of San Francisco.

Pretty clean small room. It was perfect for one night and it was close to everything. The area is really safe too. The only thing is parking but hey it’s the city so I expected it. The elevator takes forever and is super small and you can only take the stairs if you’re exiting. Other than that I liked it. Would definitely book again.

Positives: Very Friendly staff, Great Location to Chinatown / Financial District. Affordable. Generally clean rooms and property. Room for Improvement: 1) Better beds - very firm / hard 2) Thin walls / can hear door hallway chatter and footsteps creaky floors everywhere. Observations: Not much could be done about the physical structures / noise since its an older building, it’s understandable. However travelers hold these tenets highly - Cleanliness, Comfort, Noise Level, Hospitality. The beds are their best opportunity to improve upon and regularly auditing their rooms to ensure it has everything in working order. The single room was very tight and small versus the advertised photos and the window lacked a mesh net. The alarm clock makes a slight buzz noise. The sink was slowly detaching from the wall mount/ tile. The shower head was loose and couldn’t remain in a fixed position and the bath mat itself showed dark spots / sullied use. If you can forego some of these aspects then this a hotel worth booking for the price point in a prime historical landmark location. It’s no frills, basic, simple, generally clean. Should they make some improvements it may be worth consider staying here again.

The beds were so hard I prefer to sleep in a car rather than sleeping in those beds. There is also a particular smell that the hotel has that is not very pleasing . old hotel, the floors crack when you walk on them and it’s not very clean and very dusty.

We were able to leave our stuff in a secure room before check in since it was at 2:30pm. Giving us time to go eat and go around without our luggage. Elevator was a bit worrisome but all was good.

Very convenient!! I would stay here again if I have another Chance. Nice for them to hold on our luggage before check in and also after checking out . Location is perfect for staying in Chinatown or few block away from union square.
