"Perfect stopover for Le Shuttle. Only 20 mins drive away. Nice location, excellent breakfast, clean spacious rooms, comfy beds and very helpful staff. This will be my go to hotel for travelling on Le Shuttle from now on"

"Overall great hotel but for a vegetarian who doesn't like a spicy breakfast limited although no problem leaving things off. Anything on toast had to be taken off toast so butter could be added once warm enough to spread by which time egg (which always had runny whites) were getting cold!"

"What a wonderful hotel,lovely setting,all of the staff were excellent ,professional,friendly and the hotel had a lovely homely feel,would recommend to anyone . The only thing l can say being slightly negative is that the spa in the pool area felt very dated ,and the decor in places throughout the hotel could do with revamping!! Wonderful stay 😊"

"Not let down and convenient location for onward travel to ferry/euro tunnel. Seem to have had a problem re motorbike thefts so staff offered location directly opposite reception with cctv camera as storage area for bikes was full."

"This is a historic inn on a pilgrim’s route. It is not a modern, high rise hotel. Don’t let those expectations diminish your experience here. The rooms are quite large and very clean. The beds are comfortable. There are not a lot of frills and extras here yet that is not what this inn is about. Be aware that the inn is not in town. There is a rather narrow road going to the inn. Good, free parking. The breakfast is basic. The pub area is super cool and historic - not sure how good the food is - we didn’t eat lunch or dinner there. This was a good, reasonably priced stop. Don’t expect a high end hotel."

"Very pleasant welcome. Room clean but wardrobe disappointing and smell in bathroom otherwise nice room. Enjoyed a beer in the garden at night! Great breakfast! Bit disappointing when checking out as waited 5 minutes and no staff appeared! As we didn’t need to settle any bill I just left the key on the counter."
