"The location was quite perfect (walking distance to several restaurants and a short drive to the bridge to the beaches). The room (and other areas we could use) were immaculately clean and quite attractive, and interesting art was visible. We were also provided with great self-serve breakfast, which most VRBOs don't provide. Note that the room is on the 3rd floor, and they strictly forbid guests (that policy isn't on the VRBO listing)"

"This was my first trip to the Highlands. We loved the atmosphere. This house is steps away from night life and walkable to the charming downtown. People were so friendly. The rooftop patio was amazing place to view all the surroundings and relax. It was also minutes away by car to sandy Hook National Park that had lovely sandy beaches and history for the explorers. We will definitely vacation here again."

"We recently stayed at Rachel's house in Highlands for a one month visit in August 2026. The location is excellent, and within walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. The house was extremely clean, and the kitchen very well appointed with all you could need. The bedding and duvets were extremely comfortable as were the pillows! The almost brand new washer and dryer were also a huge benefit during our one month stay. Rachel was extremely responsive for the few minor issues we encountered (that did not negatively impact our stay in any way), most times replying within minutes! Overall we would recommend her house for long or short term rentals in the quaint shore town of Highlands, NJ!"
