"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our unit was clean and cute. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and we had some ants but other than that everything was perfect!"
"Location was hard to find with Google maps. Even local Police officeris could direct me correctly. Otherwise a good stay in typical small hotel room jn city centre.

"Initially I had mixed feelings as room is really small BUT for short stay is perfect- clean, towels changed daily, very friendly and helpful stuff ( even after check out, we were able to leave luggage till our train in the afternoon. Overall, really good experience! "
"It is in the middle of Faro centre. Really well located in the centre. Property was clean. Nothing too fancy, but price/quality wise, you cannot go wrong."
"Not safe my flight was delayed by 3 hours and arriving at 12.30 the area was full of inebriated people, jumped back in the taxi and found another hotel."

PortoBay Blue Ocean
10/10 Excellent
"My experience at Portobay BlueOcean was truly amazing. Absolutely do recommend this hotel. So clean, they did an amazing job with the renovations and the look of the lounge and other facilities in the hotel. Gives a chic but modern tropical vibe in the hotel. The hotel itself was very clean, the staff is also amazing. They’re always on top of everything and making sure things smell clean and that everything is clean around the grounds and even service at buffet, etc. Walk to the beach is not too bad at all as you can access the walkway to the other hotel PortoBay Falesia and take the stairs to the beach. Food was nothing exceptional but was actually pretty good for a hotel. This is a 4 star but it’s definitely a very good 4 star hotel. Perhaps my only complaints or thing i would say the hotel could improve on was making the grounds a little bit more lively. I know that’s maybe not the vibe they’re going for as it seems more of a hotel to relax and for more retired people and families with kids but just seems like there could’ve been more activities or music or performances that could’ve been done for entertainment. "Beautiful resort with a very calming vibe. It’s very big but never felt like there were lots of people around or overcrowded. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Large variety of options at breakfast.
The only issue we faced is that it’s quite far away from anything, the nearest shop for amenities is a 25 minute walk away, and you need to get taxis everywhere as there isn’t anything in walking distance or any local transport options, although the resort offers free drop off/pick up at the Marina 3 times per day. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and luxurious break. "
"This hotel is on the top floor of a shopping g mall. You enter through the mall. When the mall is closed you can walk around the empty mall… it’s kind of cool. "
"Perfect place for family three nights away with teenagers. We spent most of the days at the pool by the Casa Azul, lovely breeze, never busy, and handy snack bar for drinks and food right there. Its a little hilly so prob not the best for anyone with mobility issues. Ate breakfast both mornings at the Alfarroba restaurant. (Tip: ordering off the a la carte menu is better value than the buffet but that nay have been because we got the buffet one day as it seemed to be finishing up). Mini market on the site stocks anything you need. Kids played mini golf one evening. The resort is not really walking distance to anything in the heat…maybe had it been cooler and we were there longer, we would have attempted to walk to old town. Ubers were about 6-8 euro into the old town or the strip and were easy enough to get- no waiting. We booked a three bed apartment that was in great condition but had slight sign of wear and tear, mainly with the light in the bathroom not staying on and one plug socket that had come away from the wall. Apartment had everything you could possibly need (washer, ironing board, good kitchen with dishwasher). Bathrooms seemed pretty new and shower had great water pressure. It was advertised as having one bathroom but when we got there, there were two which was a pleasant surprise with 5 people! Tip 2: We ordered groceries and food via Uber eats since it was late when we got there. Overall I was delighted with our time here and the facilities- perfect for us! "
