"Breakfast was very good. The cleaning was below our expectations as the cleaning crew forgot to leave us clean towels after taking all our towels away. So next morning after I showered I stood dropping as my husband hunted down cleaning staff for clean towels.The vent in the bathroom was gross and there was bugs in the window ledge for the whole 5 night stay and we never opened the windows as we ran the air conditioning."

"We were celebrating our golden wedding anniversary with a stay at the Bull. A trip down memory lane for us. The hotel is very nice, we had a lovely suite. The public areas and gardens are great. Staff were very attentive and special thanks go to Liz, who helped with some extras to make the visit very memorable!"

"Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. The staff were polite, kind and helpful particularly when we had difficulty switching on the shower, which we appreciated. However, we were unable to connect to the WiFi the hotel could not provide or sell a basic toothbrush. The room was advertised as soundproof despite us hearing considerable noise from guests in the corridor, especially in the morning."

"Really good hotel/pub Very old building so you have to make allowances for that as they were restricted in what they could do to windows ect It was quiet in a great position and the staff were lovely We did eat in 1 night and had breakfast 1 morning during our stay and it was excellent value for money Because your nearly in the centre it’s easy to find different places to eat & drink Can’t really fault it"

"We paid more and booked an executive room. It was on the third floor with sloped ceilings. Quaint but it meant we had to keep ducking when moving around the room so annoying. There were dirty towels left in the bathroom on the back of the door from previous guests so room not checked properly. Cold tap in the sink was a dribble. This needs sorting. Shower was pathetic. Lift smelt. I wouldn't have been so disappointed if it wasn't for the fact that I had paid more for this room. Would not book again"

"We booked this property because it was very close to a venue we were attending a wedding at, I had booked three rooms and requested one room to be a twin, despite me telephoning twice to check, but when we checked in it was still made up as a double, but it was quickly rectified. We had an evening meal which was pleasant, staff were good but I can’t say over welcoming, the bedrooms were clean, well presented but only had one hand towel, one packet of biscuits and no full length mirror. For the price charged we weren’t very impressed and I probably wouldn’t stay again."
