Comfortable and as expected. Staff really good. Double bunk room and shared facilities. Quite a trek from the main road but part of the adventure.

Glorious spot and great service.
Loved this place, smack on the South Downs Way so great for walking. Helpful, friendly staff and good service. Beautiful views from the dining room/lounge area. Able to check in ahead of 5pm.

lovely location for an activity stay
Booked a single room and paid a little more but the stay was an enjoyable expeience. Food was great and social area comfortable.

We were blown away by this beautiful place! The views and environment is absolutely breathtaking. We met some really lovely people and the young men who worked there in the evenings were helpful and very professional yet kind to everyone. The kitchen is well kitted out and there is a good system for marking your own food in the fridge etc. The showers were really good too and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the comfy sofas with the best view in the South Downs. The little restaurant serves delicious food and drinks too.

Fantastic value
A warm and friendly welcome. Very clean accommodation, basic as you would expect but that was all we needed. Good range of food available. Showers and facilities all very clean

A bit remote from Shoreham but peaceful, scenic and ideal to rest your head for a night. Good value.

Wasn’t obvious where reception was, it is on the first floor. Friendly check in, only bunks left. I am 5.5 and only just fitted in. Breakfast in the morning was lovely with fantastic view.

Jackie, Thankyou for your review. As a Youth Hostel all of our beds are bunks, although these are a standard 6 foot length. We are pleased you enjoyed your breakfast and we agree the view is absolutely fantastic!!

Good stay
Great stay as ever this is a great hostel way up in the South Downs Good room complete with sink Good hearty food served but youth hostel very reasonably priced and a good portion size Good choice of food something for everyone Staff were really welcoming and friendly The Covid rules and measures in place works well The shower booking system is no big issue even with a good number of guests staying at the hostel Very much enjoyed my stay will be back

Great stay
Had a good stay at this youth hostel Hostel is well set up with the Covid rules and you are told the rules to follow so easy safe stay I had a six bed room to myself so lots of space was nice an quite an comfortable You had to book a shower time so they could be cleaned between guests worked well Hostel was clean and tidy all over Had food one night it was very good simple food good portions well cooked what more could I ask for Lots of outside space and site bell tents looked great Good car parking quite a long single track up to hostel that is a bit rough in places All in alll a great stay in a very relaxing setting

Super views ,easy parking ,food OK. As an septuagenarian it was my first experience of YH's And I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future, Quite a few guests were in the OAP bracket.

Loved it!
This place was really cool! We had 1 room for 6 people which had bunk beds for everyone. We stayed for 2 nights. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious for all of us. The room came with a sink and mirror. The toilets and showers are shared with others on your floor. The hotel felt very secure and safe. The area is very quiet. There is space outside for tents/camping. There's a community room upstairs with games, a shared kitchen, meal options, snacks, and wifi. I didn't love the fact that towels were $2 each, but that's the only complaint!

Thankyou for your great review, we are pleased you had a great stay. In order to keep the basic room price low, we exclude towels as standard, and charge the £2 to guests that don't bring their own. Gorgeous setting but shame only one plug socket in the twin bunk room

You will be please to know that we are planning a refurbishment in the near future, that will include a rewire of the hostel to increase the number of plug sockets, in the meantime we do have multi-plug adapters available to borrow at reception. Close enough to Brighton, but arrive in daylight!
Very good for 1 night stay for purpose of meeting next day in Brighton. Glad we arrived in daylight as a bit remote to find in the dark except with satnav.

Really good Hostel facility in wonderful Downland with views to the English Channel. Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. After a quiet, comfortable night, a very full, combined continental and full English breakfast was serve: great value and highly commendable.

YHA TRULEIGH HILL
Although we only stayed overnight I could see this place is well run and we were made to feel more than welcome ,as a locally born person who now lives away I would recommend this Hostel to anyone who wants to stop off somewhere on The South Downs The Views are absolutely magnificent.

Simply flawless!
This hostel had the most comfortable beds so far! Nice people there as well! Nothing to complain about!
