We loved the owners. They are charming, fun, friendly and very interesting. I am sure we will return often over the next few years with our daughter in boarding school in Shresbury.

Quaint but homely old house
Had difficulty locating as there is no sign outside. Had to use the map on their website and hope I was at the correct place. Free but limited parking. Owners were friendly and had upgraded the booked room. Old quaint property but homely. Free WiFi but only a small TV in the lounge. Nice en-suite and nice breakfast with good choice. Enjoyable overnight stay.

A delightful retreat
Loved this guesthouse. Very homely. A great selection of books. Very comfortable bed and I had a gorgeous hot bath I soaked in after a long drive. Very relaxing. Lots of choice for breakfast and home made buns made that morning. Took a hike in the garden that was full of various plants and statues and water features. If I had the time I would have liked to spend time between garden and bedroom just reading. A great place to retreat.

Overpriced but lovely breakfast
Breakfast was lovely. Property is quite old and a refresh is needed. Very tight parking and property needs airing throughout, towels were very hard indeed and we found spiders in both beds which isn’t really surprising considering the webs hanging from the ceiling. Gentleman owner was extremely pleasant and friendly. Sadly at £90 this property is about £40 overpriced in my opinion.

Nice experience on cycling tour.
If you're looking for straight walls and modern fittings then move on. If you're looking for a place that's a bit quirky, lived-in, but clean and comfortable, this should suit you nicely. Very helpful hosts. We were on a cycle tour and they were able to store our bikes securely.

The Sound of Silence.
The B&B is so much more than was to be anticipated. It is an ideal location and guesthouse for a stay of peacefulness and rest. The terrace garden is a pleasure to experience; throughout the tour and to sit with nature and to absorb. The local village is a short walk incl pub, cafe, church, castle, cemetery. The owners and hosts are a delight to meet.

A wonderful place to stay
Lovely spacious comfortable room. The gardens at Brownhill House are stunning on every level!😀. Owners Roger and Yoland are extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and the home made raspberry muffins that we took home were yummy. We look forward to returning soon.

My stay was enjoyable, comfortable and warm. Excellent family business the view in the garden is amazing and the breakfast in the morning was so fresh. I would highly advise to stay here.

Nice little B&B. The owners are VERY friendly and helpful; good choice for breakfast; and the garden is another thing entirely - I have never seen anything like it in a private house.

Warm and Friendly, owned by very nice couple who offer a good choice of breakfast. Property is set in a lovely area and has basic but functional facilities. Overall good value. No television provided in the room but there is a common area.

I had an excellent stay. Yolanda was a wonderful host. She loaned me a book that she had written about a local identity which was very enjoyable. The setting is very pretty with a magnificent garden that goes down to the river. It was very nice to have fresh milk for my coffee and so many other items that made my stay comfortable.

Beautiful setting and the owners friendly and helpful couple. The breakfast was fantastic so tasty, fresh raspberries from the garden and home made jam, bacon, sausage and eggs from local farmers market. The garden is something else, so beautiful...a must see. I was there for a local festival but would definitely go back just to have a county break.

Relaxing stay in Ruyton-XI Towns area
Very enjoyable stay in an enviable location overlooking beautiful countryside. The extraordinary garden was an unexpected bonus. A tremendous amount of effort and planning must have gone in drawing it out. The house was cozy, comfortable, well lived in with a large selection of books on local history, geography, nature. etc. My room came with a en suite bathtub. The proprietors were nice, honest and caring. I would definitely stay again!
