"Beautiful building, a little tired and in need of some love but seeped in history, seamless check in, helpful staff, room was extremely clean, very comfy bed and a good nights sleep, tea and coffee facilities in room also, spacious and clean bathroom with nice fluffy white towels, furniture in keeping with the period of the hotel, fabulous location, on site car park and value for money, would stay here again"

"We had a great stay. We checked in on wed night and had to walk through some really loud music (a bit concerned at this point) but our room was pleasantly sound proofed from the noise. The first night I found the bed springy and hard to sleep in but I emailed management and Cameron quickly put a bed topper on for us and I slept like a baby the next night. "Ideal location for exploring city centre. Friendly welcome on arrival with parking onsite. Very comfortable bed and en-suite bathroom spotless. Freshly cooked breakfast to order was excellent. Great value for money, would happily stay again when visiting Shrewsbury."

"Lovely friendly staff on arrival, offered a glass of Sherry which was a nice touch. Booked single rooms but were given very comfortable twin rooms each which was a bonus. Rooms were warm comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good although the pastries and juice hadnt been replenished when we came down but the quality was good. The coffee was the nicest ive tastes at a hotel! I have stayed here twice and would stay again."

"The building was amazing for its age. we didn't experience any lost soles at night cleaning not the best the high dusting hadn't been dne for months rather disappointed being it cost £160 a night and you cnt get a breakfast they recomend 2 cafe's to go towe went in to the bar for a drink and i think we stood there for nearly 10 mins before some asked if we would like a drink"

"I was travelling alone for work and had the weekend in the middle to find someone else to stay to save travelling home. Found this hotel and booked. Arrived early evening. There was a lovely guy on reception who was really friendly and reserved me a table for dinner. The room was in the 3rd floor and was huge. Bed was huge and comfy and clean. Bathroom nice too. Breakfast and evening meal was great. Totally recommend this hotel made a really relaxing weekend. Hopefully will return again with my husband next time."
