"The staff were very welcoming on arrival and managed to getbus checked in early. The room was spacious and the beds extremely comfy. The tea and coffee facilities were very basic and the kettle in the room was well used. Breakfast was very basic for the price and i think very expensive for what was on offer. Other than this the stay was nice and again the staff were all polite and helpful"

"Very comfortable stay. Nice pool, nice room with opening window for fresh air. But, most importantly, every single member of staff was exceptionally friendly and polite - and they all work hard. Service really good, restaurant food is amazing. Each meal I tried (for the week) was spot on. Especially the duck! Prices very reasonable imho. Also, in the bar open during the day, small breakfast options such as baps are available. Really nice overall feel."

"Convenient to road system but unaffected by traffic noise. Free parking. Reception friendly and efficient. Lifts available. My room had 2 double beds which made the room seem cramped. The bed I used was comfortable. Ensuite bath with an over shower. I had to fix the shower curtain back on the track to avoid soaking the floor. Food good quality and reasonably priced."

"Only booked Wednesday to stay Thursday night and got an exceptional deal breakfasts brilliant. Very grand and leisure centre very good pool warm and gym good . could definitely recommend We were upgraded and had large bedroom with 4 poster bed. Very good to do the Royal Airforce Museum at Shifnal that also was excellent. The day after we went to National Memorial Arboretum at Staffordshire well worth and visit and these two places were ffree of charge. "

"Our room smelled of cigarette smoke, the wash basin was cracked, the furniture was chipped, and the decor very tired the several areas of the property needed decorating and maintenance especially the ceiling in the lounge which was very stained with a water leakage. The breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful."

The large hole in the driveway should have warned us not to go further.After a long drive and a nice stroll around very pretty Ludlow we were looking forward to a well earned drink and a good meal.The odd looking hotel we had booked in appeared to offer all of these things. "We arrived while the hotel was under construction so skips, unfinished work being carried out, the hotel does have character being an building inside does need attention carpets, replacement of spindles on the stairwell our room did need work in the bathroom (toilet flush loose new grouting needed ) and the floor boards very noisy when walking on them ( making it annoying for the people underneath) the garden does need attention (looking tied) the staff were friendly and the lady at reception...
