Top Shrivenham Park Golf Club Hotel Reviews
The Crown Inn
8/10 Good
"It would be good to add to the quality by providing appropriate shampoo and body soap. A good and classic TV will add to a the well presented rooms"
The Barrington Arms Hotel
8/10 Good
"Lovely location. Beautiful village. Watched cricket on village park area. Staff friendly and welcoming. Pub bar nice. Lovely outdoor areas. Good menus. Accommodation a bit tired...needs a bit of a freshen up. Window latch loose. Shaver light not working and no light bulb in clothes cupboard. Bed comfortable and shower good. Complimentary tea and coffee good, especially Taylors Coffee Bags! Didn't try the food in the evening as already eaten and skipped breakfast as not hungry. Breakfast area seemed nice."
The Old Crown Coaching Inn
8/10 Good
"super stay! The staff, the breakfast and the amenities were great! The only tiny thing I would say is that the family room does make you feel a tad on the claustrophobic side!! Other than that, we really enjoyed!"
Rural Cotswold Cottage in grounds of beautiful Nell House
10/10 Excellent
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful surroundings. The cottage overlooked the pond which was very peaceful and it was fun to watch the runner ducks when they were out on the pond. The horses were also on the grounds or in the stables which were nice to see every day. There was also lots of other wildlife around such as a heron, rabbits, squirrels etc. The hosts were very friendly and gave us advice on places to eat and explore and were happy to help with anything. We didn't spend much time inside the cottage due to the beautiful weather but inside had everything you needed. The downstairs bedroom opened onto the pond area which was great in the good weather. Most of the Cotswolds villages were around 40 minutes away on average. But it depends which ones you visited. There are also national trusts and other gardens closed by.Overall we had a great holiday. Thank you."
The Saracens Head Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"If you want a boutique, luxury hotel The Saracens Head is not for you and you are not for the Saracens Head. If you want an authentic 'staying at an inn' experience with good food, a wide selection of ales and ciders and friendly courteous staff then you won't find better. From the friendly welcome at the bar to exchanging photos of the night sky with the lady cleaning my room I was made to feel right at home. Being a bit dishevelled in places merely added to the charm of my stay and my spacious room was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view over the village square. The richness of the clientele with diners in one bar and tradesmen in another made you realise this was a place serving the whole community as well as taking in strangers such as myself. The food was so good I could not even get a table on my first night. If you are having a few nights in the Cotswolds you could do far worse than base yourself in Highworth and enjoy some genuine local offerings before heading to the more well known tourist sites. Thanks to all the Saracens Head staff for making my stay so pleasurable,"
Large dog friendly holiday home with a hot tub in the Cotswolds - Coppers Barn
10/10 Excellent
"What a fabulous place to stay for a 3-generation, long weekend, family celebration of an 80th birthday. 6 double bedrooms, all with ensuites made life so much easier for ablutions! The barn was clean, stylishly furnished & everything you needed when self-catering for large numbers was provided, although we did eat out at both the Eagle Tavern (within walking distance) & The Lamb Tavern (Buckland), having excellent meals in both places. (The Lamb has a great "private dining room" which was perfect for an undisturbed family meal.) The hot tub was a great success, even though the booking was during the heatwave!! The stock of board games & books was an added bonus for late night entertainment. The terrace area with tables & chairs was perfect for a summer evening meal outside & the enclosed grass area would be brilliant for energetic children! My only slight downgrading was for "value for money". I did feel it was overpriced despite it being an early July booking in a superb venue (but considering we had to pay £250 extra for the hot tub & 2 dogs....) - Cotswold prices seem to be sky-rocketing year on year. Would we return? Yes, for a special occasion & trying to avoid peak times of the year!"
Romantic & Secluded Cottage. Beautiful Walks & Fantastic Pub
8/10 Good
"Beautiful location, the property had everything we needed. We couldn't let our dog into the garden with it nit being secure, but we knew this from the pictures"
The Highworth Hotel
8/10 Good
"Very nice people and a nice convenient place to stay. The building is outdated but that gives a bit of charm to the whole stay."
Helen Browning's Royal Oak
10/10 Excellent
