"Stunning property… exquisite dining experience. Extremely attentive staff. Breakfast was amazing, including the views.
Pool was very relaxing. Gym is well equipped.
Housekeeping was above and beyond… fresh towels often, turn-down every evening with a little treat.
Very reasonably priced for the amenities and service! We would definitely return."

"It is a beautiful and scenic hotel with wonderful views that is large enough to find quiet spaces if you are an adult without kids but also seems to accommodate children very well. Breakfast is excellent and the staff at the hotel are friendly and attentive. The concierge Ines was so helpful if arranging boat excursions, dinner reservations and car rentals. The property is walking distance to town and also to many other beaches. An excellent choice for staying in this area"
"Great staff and the main pool was the main attraction. We were a group of 20 people staying in a mix of 2 bed apartments. All the rooms were good, clean and had everything you needed. We didnt need to fight for loungera in the morning but most people were quite quick to place towels.
Some of the pool area had tiles that could do we replacing and some of the bridges needed attention.
The Cool Bar by the pool was great for drinks, ice creams etc. The breakfast was always good, attentive staff. They offered various eggs too but no sign to say that so found out by seeing other peoples food. The nearby town of Carvoiero was great to visit too. Easy to get around in cabs and Ubers."
"Honestly our favorite hotel of our honeymoon! They have an excellent location, on-site parking and is walking distance to everything you need. Staff were friendly, breakfast is amazing and the pool (with bar) was to die for. Would love the opportunity to stay here again!"
"I loved chilled place. Very clean mobile home with AC in the living room. bedrooms a bit too small but manageable for short stay. stay with a car to make sure you can move around freely. Location great for local beaches and attractions. The gym wasn't open so need to update the website."
"I wasn’t sure what to expect when booking Vale da Lapa Village, but it completely blew me away. The property is stunning, the villa was spacious and comfortable, and the service was warm and welcoming. Andre checked us in and provided all the details we needed to enjoy our stay.
We booked the half-board option, not realizing it included both breakfast and dinner—what an amazing surprise! The food was delicious, and while service at the restaurant was on the slower side (possibly cultural differences), the staff was always friendly.
We stayed in a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom villa, and it was perfect for our family of four—plenty of room to spread out. I only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the property itself. The grounds were beautifully maintained, though I’d love to see some additional pathways through the center of the resort to make getting around easier.
The beds were quite firm, which didn’t bother me but might not be for everyone. On our last day, we noticed a few ants around the kitchen sink—possibly due to pouring soda down the drain—but overall, the villa was very clean and well-kept. The metal shutters on all windows and patio doors were unexpected but seemed to help with security, light, and sound.
A car or Uber is definitely needed to get around, but the peaceful setting made it all worth it. Out of the three places we stayed during our trip, this was hands-down the favorite for our whole family."

CHARMING VILLA WITH PRIVATE POOL, JACUZZI, GARDENS - PERFECT FOR RELAXATION
8/10 Good
"The good:The property was really clean. Aircon worked great. Pool was fab. Location great. The ladies at Algarve Vacation were quick to respond to emails. Great automatic ice maker. The not so great: The remote control for the gates did not work and apparently Algarve Vacation knew about this as they have had a number of complaints. I asked why they didn't tell us as this would have resulted in a less stressful arrival at midnight but received no explanation. The hire car had to therefore stay all week on a nearby street rather than the private driveway. The house definitely needs some tlc. The front door is very stiff so the first time you try to open it you think the key doesn't work. Eventually you just get used to shouldering it open. There are screen doors at the back without screens allowing flies in the house. The outdoor dining area needs a new cover over the roof as there were lots of holes, some quite large and unsightly.I don't mind sitting on rattan chairs without cushions but a cushionless rattan sofa is simply not acceptable and in no way useable. The layout in the living room/dining room is odd with the TV beside the dining table rather than the sofa and considering the villa sleeps 6 (or perhaps more) the sofa only seats 3. You'll get a crick in your neck from watching TV from the sofa. There is no welcome information so we had no idea where to take rubbish or when the pool and garden guys would appear without warning, no local recommendations etc."
