The hotel was very clean and elegant. Very nice bathroom. The staff both in dining area and check in were very pleasant. You do need to use the shuttle to get to Sorrento as it's located about 3 miles from town. The 0.9 tenths listed might be as a bird flies.

Excellent location, very clean and just far enough out of Sorrento to be in a very peaceful location away from the busy Sorrento town. Sorrento is just a short 20min walk downhill, but the hotel does offer a free shuttle in the morning and evening to and from Sorrento. My only comment would be that there should be more shuttles in the evening, as some of the times are a bit spaced apart. Staff were very friendly, pool was lovely, I would definitely stay here again.

Johanna Hotel, Sorrento

The hotel was a lovely choice. Old world charm, view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, friendly staff. Overall, a nice experience which we would gladly return to.

Awesome views

This hotel is a little distance from the center of Sorrento but the hotel runs a shuttle into town which was very useful. It sits high on the hill and has amazing views over the Bay of Naples and Capri. The staff were helpful and the food at the restaurant was pretty good. The room was clean and comfortable but a little dated.

Our second time at Johanna Park, such a lovely area, you are in a garden, surrounded by lemon , orange and olive trees . Great breakfast selection, dinner always very delicious. Shuttle to Sorrento centre and return. There were 5 of us, we al enjoyed this hotel.

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff who helped us out sort airport transport and book a tour. Good size room for 4 of us. Good shuttle into town which only took about 5 minutes. Good base to explore Sorrento/Naples/Amalfi.

All good things to say about Johanna Park Hotel! We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very reasonable and nice bathroom (they’re all small everywhere but this was clean and had tub/shower). The restaurant was good quality, lots of options at the breakfast buffet and solid options for dinner. The service was fantastic, all the staff with the restaurant and the shuttle services were incredibly hardworking and kind to go out of their way for you. The front desk staff was helpful, sometimes a little short with you, but saw that everywhere in Italy. The shuttle service was incredibly helpful to go to city center and bus/train station. It solved a lot of worries about walking down/uphill or getting an expensive taxi. Highly recommend Johanna Park Hotel, and would stay again if visiting Sorrento!

To start with a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Everyone had a smile on their face. For the rooms: the room was very clean, however the beds are extremely firm and pillows were uncomfortable. The air conditioning also DID NOT WORK (I understand that European A/C standards are not the same as North American, but it was barely functional). This made it extremely difficult to sleep in summer heat (the room was about 30°C inside). The services: the pool was well maintained and the shuttle service was nice to have. The shuttle however does not come every hour so you have to plan your day around it. It also picked up and dropped off between two streets so if you were waiting on the supposed designated corner, you might miss it if the driver decided to stop the next street over. The location is also quite far from Sorrento (while Google Maps says 30 minute walk, it is not walkable as it is winding uphill and there are no sidewalks). We asked the front desk to call us a can to get to Naples airport, but they did not call a cab. Instead one of the women working there at the front desk said she was the cab (her and her husband driving their car) and the price was 180€ (while most cabs are 120-150€ for this route). We were displeased with the professionalism, as it seemed most prices were made up on the spot and there is no system for the costs of meals or services at this hotel. Unfortunately I would NOT recommend staying here! It should not be 4 stars!!

This is an older hotel quite far from the center of Sorrento but there is a very convenient free shuttle many times a day that can bring you up and down the cliff pretty fast. the rooms are small but clean, could use a little renovation but are equipped with a small fridge. The breakfast lacks fruits ( only melon), the orange juice is fake but there are fresh croissants and a few homemade pies. The hotel can help you book a tour to Capri that I highly recommend. They will pick you up at the hotel and is really well organized.

Parking was very straightforward. Hotel is in a beautiful location above Sorrento. There is a steep 10 minute walk down into the town. Hotel offers a shuttle service. Although limited, the food was well presented and tasty. The staff were exceptionally friendly.
