"I thought the gorilla theme was really cute and liked the shared space dorm feeling. Some guests were cheerful and not especially quiet but once it got late it was quiet and we slept well. It actually felt festive and pleasant. The bath facilities were clean. There could have been more garbage bins as they got full quickly and it became difficult to separate. The space had a good feeling and it was comfortable to sleep on futons even as a family. There's not much privacy so it might not be great...

Top South Osaka Hotel Reviews

MAIDO - DOYANEN HOTELS

10/10 Excellent

"This is a budget hotel, it has all the basics. Located on what it may look like not a great area, but remember, this is Japan, no issues at all. You can safely walk at any time of the day or night and nobody is going to bother you. Located close to many train stations and if you do your homework, there is a lot of authentic Japanese places where you can find great food for really low price. I would stay at Maido hotel again."

BESTIE - DOYANEN HOTELS

8/10 Good

"The Hotel has a great location being a short distance from the nearest station. All of the attractions are just 30 minutes to an hour walk away. We didn't have to use the train that much unless we went out to Kyoto or places further out. Shared showers are great! They are kept clean everyday and have their own enclosures for privacy! Beds are spring loaded beds so if you have issues with these types of bed you will have to get used to it like my friend. There are mini fridges they do the job just fine. I enjoy the hotel even though it is small!"

BAKURO - DOYANEN HOTELS

10/10 Excellent

"This is a nice hotel for a solo traveler! Even though the location was sketchy. Still felt like japanese people dont really bother you. So everything was okay even walking at night. The streets were also well lit. Over all 9/10. Room was clean and the concierge were helpful when my code to the entrance wasnt working."

3U NAMBA MINAMI - DOYANEN HOTELS

8/10 Good

"It was within walking distance to Tsutenkaku and mega Don Quijote. The beds were comfortable, and the shared washroom and shower rooms were well-maintained. Staffs were very friendly. The neighborhood can feel a bit rough, with people drinking on the street even during the day, though never threatening"

Bande Hotel Osaka

10/10 Excellent

"As a budget hotel, I did not expect this one could be this good, it went beyond and above my expectation. Staffs are all very nice and polite, places are clean, room services are on par. It is located in a residential area, you can see everyday lifes of local Japanese people, it is close to subway station, 7-11, shops, restaurants ... etc. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again next time I visit Osaka."
