"The unit was exactly as described in the listing and offered excellent value for the price. The location was also hard to beat, with easy access to downtown Chicago and nearby attractions. For the cost and convenience, it’s a very attractive option.
I did not experience any communication issues with the host during my stay, and everything I needed was provided. That said, based on the level of interaction, I could see communication potentially becoming a concern if a significant issue arose that required immediate attention, though I cannot speak to how that would actually be handled.
The biggest drawback was the noise from the upstairs neighbors. At times, they were consistently loud, and the noise carried enough that it was difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. This was by far the most significant issue I encountered and is something prospective guests should be aware of, especially if they are light sleepers or expecting a quieter environment.
Parking was another challenge, though less impactful than the noise. Finding street parking was difficult, so I would recommend arranging parking elsewhere ahead of time rather than relying on nearby availability.
