Connemara Coast Hotel

"Unmatched Galway Bay views and the perfect family base! The Connemara Coast Hotel was the standout stay of our entire trip. We booked two nights here for our family of four (reserving two rooms, as larger family layouts weren't available), and check-in was a breeze. Highlights: The Views: The view across Galway Bay is simply unmatched. With the clear weather, it hardly looked real, and we even watched a cruise ship glide past the coast. Location & Day Trips: An easy drive into Galway City (budget a little time for city traffic/parking). The walking atmosphere reminded us of Temple Bar, and the Sunday open-air market with local vendors is well worth a visit. The Experience: Down time was wonderful—exploring the rugged shoreline right on the property, relaxing in the evenings, and soaking in the setting. If you are looking for breathtaking scenery, a great coastal location, and true Irish hospitality, this hotel is a must-stay. Highly recommended!"

"The whole stay was a delightful experience. Our hostess greeted us at the door with a warm welcome and valuable information. Fresh eggs, homemade bread, and pound cake added to the personal touch. The property was fascinating with bogs and stones from an ancient circle. Needless to say, a place where one’s imagination can wander."

"The property and whole experience was excellent. The property owner was an excellent host. Very prompt to answer any questions before our stay and kept in touch with us throughout our weeks holiday. Even explaining how the heating worked when the weather was colder than expected without us having to ask. The shops and cafes close to the property were all convenient and useful to be able to walk to. Beach excellent too"
Spiddal Cottage splendid base to tour the west

"We particularly liked Patsy's friendliness and attention to detail. The house was warm and comfortable. We cooked for ourselves and there was plenty of equipment and space. There's a washing machine and dryer if you need one, but the outside line is available. It was quiet, near a shop and bus route. Patsy kindly let us charge our electric car from the house overnight, for which we paid her. Highly recommend this accommodation. Maybe a bit more cutlery."

"Simple instructions for access, just a bit difficult getting in the front door. Everything was lovely inside. Simply furnished. Bed was comfy and warm. Very roomy for the 6 of us. Wish there were a few more pans. "
