Our first trip away after months of lockdown was a bit of a disappointment to say the least! At no point in any advertising does this hotel say that breakfast is delivered to your room in a cardboard box. A totally unappetising, unappealing and unhealthy ‘breakfast’ arrived at the bedroom door at 07:30, which we were expected to eat on our bed due to the cramped interior of our ‘superior deluxe’ room!!
The poor breakfast choice of chocolate muffins, croissants and biscuits/cheese improved slightly on our second morning when fresh fruit replaced the high fat, high carb contents of the previous day.
Also beware that bottled water is not complimentary, which is astonishing for a ‘5 star’ Hotel!!
The staff however are lovely and very helpful. Special thanks to Rab and Monica.
Michael the Hotel Manager did his best to make our stay pleasant, but considering the high price of a stay in this establishment they need to up the game with their poor hospitality!!!!
