"This is the quieter side of the island, closer to the park. The busy side is 4 miles away, not that far away.There are two pools in the complex as well as the beach and ocean.complex has been doing upgrades/ maintenance over the past few years and are still doing them . That’s what happens when buildings are near beaches and saltwater.Appalachicola is close by- has interesting shops and restaurants.Saint George Island has as well.spent the week here..There are several places on the forgotten coast to stay and visit. Our families have been coming for a number of years. If you want to explore, there’s always something you can do. If you just want to slow down sit on the beach and enjoy the view and waves it’s there. If you just want to go walk on the beach it’s not crowded..No big tall buildings or crowded beaches. Like the slower pace. Have time with your family and friends. Be with your better half.Enjoy the wonderful seafood. For those that don’t love seafood- there’s plenty of options there as well. Not too far away from a day trip to the more busy activity areas of Florida, if that’s your thing.If you’re interested in biking the island, you can. It’s geared towards that , with a bike path and pedestrian..Speed limit is 35. Our families had three different units/ owners. The complex was pretty quiet both inside and outside of the unit.Like the picture shows you can see the ocean, both on the main deck as well as the master bedroom deck."

"The house was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and in a great location. We enjoyed the pool, exploring the island on the golf cart, and the amazing view of the bay. We’ll definitely be staying here again in the future!"

"The host of this property was phenomenal!! There was a couple of minor hiccups but the host was very quick to respond and get the problems resolved in a very timely manner. I cannot say enough good things about the host and the property. We had a wonderful family vacation!"

"We live only about 50 miles away so we come to relax and just get away...We have been coming to Island Secret for about 15 years...It is just as clean and nice as always...We can't say enough about Glenn and Lawson. They are awesome hosts....We will return as many times as they will have us....."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Clean and spacious room, immediately accessible to the beach (and beach drinks and food from the Blue Parrott!) Only 8 units available so it's never overcrowded. LOVE IT!"

"This was one of our favorite family vacations. We had an amazing week. The host was wonderful to work with. The home is well stocked with all the things we needed. The layout of the house worked out perfectly....plenty of room for our large group to gather together. We loved all the seating around the table so we could eat together (with an amazing view)! When the teens and younger kids wanted to do their own thing the 2 family rooms offered some separation so they had their hangout area and the adults had one too. Right on the beach with great view of 4th of July fireworks. Jet ski rental and some good food just a short walk down the beach. The teens loved how close the basketball courts were to the house and were shooting ball every evening. A bonfire on the beach...awesome! Oh, and the stars... you can see ALL the stars! Beautiful! Spent a lot of time in the pool too! Can't say enough good things. My dad is ready to plan our return trip. Thanks again!"
