The Savoy Jersey

The Savoy Jersey

8/10 Good
"We booked a balcony room. It was a nice room but slightly dated. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. As others have mentioned it was very hot in the room. There was a small fan on the dressing but it was too far from the bed to make any difference. On arrival there was a portable air cooler in our room, after a couple of nights it disappeared and when I asked they said it was unavailable and suggested another fan. As there are no pug sockets near the bed we had to have an extension cable. We had to keep the balcony doors open constantly but that didn’t make things much better. We were there in July and the weather was very hot, so at other times of the year I’m sure the heat of the room would not be an issue. The lack of plug sockets by the bed was disappointing. Breakfast was excellent and the staff kept everything topped up regularly. Pool area was nice although water was very cold despite the hot weather. Lovely area to relax."

10/10 Excellent
"The apartment was right in St Helier, just above the bus station, which although you could hear the buses, didn't bother us at all as everything went quieter in the evening. Everything was spotless, the bed was nice and comfy, and the living room was a good size with a view of the harbour. The kitchen was a reasonable size, with everything in it that you would need. The bathroom was nice although as the shower was over the bath it was a little narrow, but nice and powerful. Staff were helpful and polite, and if you got up early enough had free scones and croissants in reception for you to have. Very happy, and had a wonderful stay."

"Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful and the rooms were immaculate. However, the hotel was a bit dated and would benefit from a bit of a refurb.
