"First time visiting here, even though we only live a shortish distance away. Can't believe we haven't been there before! Such friendly helpful staff. The room was immaculate, quiet and comfy. Breakfast was also delicious. We will definitely return, as we want to try the Spa facilities."

"Beautiful, comfortable space. Clean and modern amenities. Nice that we were provided with some things in the fridge upon arrival. Andrew was very helpful and is generally in the main house next door. Only concern might be for those of us seniors who didn’t realize the bathroom is down a flight of stairs which adds to the middle of the night journeys to the toilet."

"Room was clean and just what we needed. Staff were helpful, however when attending for breakfast I was told ‘it’s closing’ rather than just offered a seat, when breakfast was due to be open for another hour. We then also had a small bite in the lounge area the next day, and the food took nearly 40mins. We used the spa facilities, and these are always great. The room was comfy and just as we would expect. It’s the second time we have stayed, and would go back again. "

"Ideal for Thames Path walkers with a splendid garden overlooking the start of the navigable Thames. Chances are you'll get here early after the relatively short walk from Cricklade, so enjoy the bar and food offerings in the spacious pub building. The room was a comfortable twin with everything you need for an overnight stay, while being across the car park from the pub itself, so noise was not a problem. If you're thinking of making an early start in the morning for the longer stage to Newbridge, better to get a bacon roll from Budgens on the High Street, as breakfast is from 9am."
