GAVIN AND LINZI'S
WE ENJOYED STAYING HERE. IT WAS CONVENIENT TO ALL OF THE CASTLES, GARDENS AND OTHER SITES AROUND STIRLING, UP TO PERTH AND EASTWARD. THE HOUSE IS LOCATED ON THE OWNERS FARM. IT WAS PEACEFUL AND QUIET. IT HAD ALL THE AMENITIES LISTED IN THE SITE. IT WAS A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX AFTER A BUSY DAY TOURING. WHILE BEING IN A RURAL SETTING, YOU ARE CLOSE TO ROADS TO GET TO ALL THE THINGS THERE ARE TO DO. THE EDINBURGH AIRORT IS ONLY 40 MINUTES AWAY.

Great Hosts and wonderful Garden for Youngsters
Spacious and well equipped house with cattle in a farmyard out the window. The cows looked like they envied our outdoor happy hours! Once you get on Chalmerston Road, you need to read a very small blue sign to find it. Perfect location near tourist spots in Stirling and environs and close to the most interesting small towns. Only criticism is there were no drawers for unpacking, so I lived out of my suitcase.

Our Stay at the Coach House
This house was the perfect base for our two weeks in Stirling. Linzi and Gavin are an amazing couple who were very helpful and accommodating. The house was in a peaceful farm setting and had all the amenities that we needed. The house was clean and spacious. We enjoyed watching the cows, pheasants, hares, ducks and many types of birds.

Wonderful property
You could not find a better place to stay for a family holiday in the centre of Scotland. It is also great for couples travelling together. The location is excellent. Just a stone’s throw from Stirling and close to many great attractions. We were able to visit the Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Safari Park, Stirling Castle, Glasgow, and the Bridge of Allan. Many more places are also close by. The house is very spacious , comfortable and easily accommodates all. Four bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a play room as well as a large fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining room. The appliances are top of the line. The views from every window are beautiful. The hosts are welcoming , gracious.and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property.

Great Place to Stay
We had a brilliant stay, perfect location within 5mins of Stirling town centre but have the countryside location. The house was a perfect base for us and had everything we needed. The children loved watching the cows and the tractor in the field. Linzi gave great recommendations on places to visit. Would recommend and would stay again.

A peaceful retreat yet so close to everything !!
A really big and beautiful home set on a farm and only a few minutes from the nearest City of Stirling. So convenient to all the major roads to be the perfect base to explore Scotland and return to each evening. Perfect space for time together around the large dining table and also providing an additional games room too.. Thoroughly recommend and we hope to return again soon

We stayed 5 adults and 2 children and the property more than fully accommodated us all. We managed to see St Andrews, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Really good spot to drive to places you wish to see. We walked the nearest pub took around 35 min walk but was worth it.

Our family holiday
We wanted somewhere to celebrate our golden wedding with the family & we couldn't have chosen a better house or location. We had all the entertainment we needed from our neighbours ( the cows & calves in the field), no need for the tv to be on. We will certainly be recommending the house to family & friends..

The house was warm, clean, spacious and very comfortable. It is in a beautifully setting but central for accessing a wide range of opportunities and activities to meet all the family needs. Gavin and Linzi were accessible and reassuring regarding their Covid preparations and practices, which was very important given current circumstances. Due to limitations on what we could do given Covid restrictions the house and surrounding garden provided the ideal relaxing base for the whole family.

Covid Holiday
The house is in beautiful countryside with great views. We booked the property due to our holiday in France being cancelled due to Covid and had mentioned this when booking. On arrival there was a variety of French produce awaiting us - what a lovely and thoughtful touch. The house is very spacious, immaculately clean and great for a family or like us just a couple - we will definitely return.

Superb location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cowden farm. The accommodation was very spacious and well equipped. Whilst at the property you feel very much out in the countryside yet are just a few minutes drive from the motorway which enabled us to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow for the day, Stirling itself is just 10 minutes away. Our host made us feel very welcome.

Aussies trip to Scotland staying at the Coach House
Absolutely perfect location for our trip to Scotland to visit family and travel throughout the highlands and major cities sight seeing. The home was very warm and welcoming upon our arrival and accommodated my 5 children, wife and I to a tea we will endeavour to book another stay here on our next visit to Scotland

Family break
A lovely house on a working farm . Plenty room , and facilities. We held a family gathering there and everyone commented on how good the house was. The setting was a good base to visit family and friends and see some of the local , the Falkirk wheel , the Blair Drummond park and of course the castle and Wallace monument. Within easy access to a supermarket we organised a delivery for us due within an hour of our arrival . It turned up on time. The bedrooms accommodated us all and we even had a spare. The kitchen had all the usual appliances and accessories. All in all a great house for a family with plenty to do and see in the surrounding area.

Rural living close to city life
This property is unique in that the setting is on a farm yet it is only a few miles from all the attractions the area has to offer. The coach house itself is very spacious with spectacular views. The downstairs bedroom and disabled bathroom are wonderful facilities for those who need them. We had great joy watching the cows give birth to their calves right next door to the house. Plenty of room for kids to play outside and a toy room inside was loved by our children. The whole week was very relaxing and very comfortable.

Home away from home
This house was perfect for our needs. It was large enough for our family, and very comfortable. We loved the farm setting, as it was peaceful and lovely. Beautiful rural location yet easy to get to places
Had an amazing week with the family here over the Christmas break, the property had everything we needed with plenty of space. I would definitely recommend this place and definitely will stay again as it was also very close to Bridge of Allan where my brother in-law lives so it was great for visiting!

Home away from home
An outstanding “home away from home”, the coach house was both bucolic and inviting, nurtured us in the midst of nature. Nestled between mountains amidst fields of wheat and cattle this place is truly Sterling! Linzy and Gavin you are class and thanks for sharing your home with us. Well appointed and conveniently located from Stirling train station (short taxi ride - remember to call Sandy with Skycap at 01786 818284, amazing service!) a house you can recharge every night as you get prepared for the next day exploring the country. I would strongly recommend this place to any family looking for an awesome place to stay. Scotland and hospitality are synonymous. From the moment we landed in Glasgow, the friendly smiles and the caring and kind attitude of Scots was magnetic. Our family of ten enjoyed the beauty of the Lochs of Lomond and Ness and many in-between, the picturesque Glens and Bens with pinkish purple blooms of Rose Bay Willow Herb, Thistle and the budding Heather, castles of yesteryears and the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, round of golf in Stirling and the raw beauty of Carnoustie. Richard McKay of Tiny Tartan Tours was a superb guide. Seek him out at 07900255881. As a nation you changed our perspective in life and made us better human beings. We took lot of pictures, precious memories and a little bit of each of you and cherish Scottish people and your culture forever! Lots of room, great views, peaceful and yet only minutes from everything!
A week in Stirling at the "Coach house was perfect. It even rained at night as to keep our sight seeing days dry. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of counter workspace and large frig with icemaker. Gavin and Nancy were super hosts. We all agreed we would love to come back and spend a month at the farm!

Perfect house for a family holiday.
My kids loved this house from the first time they saw pictures. Two adults and 5 kids and we still had an extra bed. For visiting Scotland this location is perfect. less than an hour from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Highlands. If we did everything over we would have stayed here instead of Edinburgh and just driven to see what we wanted. Day trips to Falkirk, Kelpies, Linlithgow, Doune, Deanston Distillary, and Castle Cambell. You can spend 2 weeks here and not run out of things to do. House is actually attached to the main house via a barn and there are cows nearby. This had me concerned at first but I was pleasantly suprised that the place didn't smell like a farm. You have a private entrance and as it turns out, this particular farm is a small part of a much larger production farm and this is where the cows have their calves. It is basically the birthing center/maternity ward and everything is picture perfect. You won't get a long list of do's and don'ts from Linzi and Gavin. You just show up to an unlocked house and read the short welcome letter. While enjoying the Tea and Biscuits they left for us. There was even a large milk in the fridge for us. There are big grocery stores within 10 minutes and you are remarkably close to Stirling. Super nice family. Uncle Sandy is a hoot if you get the privilege to meet him. He was the most memorable Scotsman I ever did meet. Back to the house. Kitchen is huge, over sized stove, full size fridge, natural slate floors, long dinning table, dedicated play room for the kids. The house is comfy with 1+ foot thick exterior walls double glazed but vented modern windows. One of those crazy triple bolt locking front door although you don't need locks way out on the farm. We felt super safe being surrounded by large fields and good neighbors. This property is also available via direct contact. Search google for "the coach house stirling self catering" There is a full bath walk in shower and bedroom with two twins on the first floor that would be perfect for grandparents.

Great location, easy acess to freeway, and short drive to airport
Wonderful home on a working farm. It is very well appointed, with all the necessities of being in your own home. Gorgeous view of the landscape in the area. The owners were wonderful people and extremely helpful. this was our fourth trip to the UK and the most enjoyable due to location and owners. Approximately 45 minutes from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The central highlands are 1 hour. I would recommend this home to anyone going to Scotland. Thank you Gavin and Linzi we had a great stay!

Beautiful, spacious and great location
Loved our stay at Cowden Farm. We loved waking up to the peace and quiet of the area. Centrally located, we did not have far to drive to get to both Edinburgh and Glasgow and of course a short drive to all the Stirling attractions. Plenty of room in the house for all 5 of us the kids loved watching the cows and we had the bonus of being here when 8 calves were born. Gavin and Linzi were extremely gracious hosts, even had coffee and flowers waiting for us on arrival. We would recommend this place without hesitation. Thank you!

Marvellous home from home
We had a superb week aided by lovely sunny weather in this very well equipped farmhouse. Great location for visiting Stirling and the trossacs/Loch Lomond area. Very good farm shop just down the road. A lovely family holiday with the small furry members also welcome.

We had a very relaxing stay. Great access to the road network so visiting any area is easy and quick. The house was easily able to accommodate 5 adults and a child. The evenings were cosy in front of the log fire. A really lovely week.

Centrally located
We loved our time at The Coach House! The views are spectacular and it is so centrally located to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling in general. Gavin and Linzi took time to answer our many questions and were quick to offer great suggestions for dining. We would definitely rent this property again as well as recommend it to friends and family. Love watching the cows out the windows.

Great house to use as base of operation
This house worked well for our group of 8 (family and friends). Using as a base, we were able to take day trips to different areas of Scotland using our rental cars. We did take the train from Stirling to Edinburgh which I would highly recommend to avoid hassle of parking. The house is spacious, had nice furnishings and was clean. It was nice to come back and relax at the end of the day, very peaceful on the farm. Loved sitting in the bedroom in the morning getting ready for the day looking over the farm fields watching the cows. owners are right next door if you need them otherwise they keep to themselves. We would highly recommend this rental. If we found ourselves back in Scotland we would rent this house again. Happy vacationers from Pennslyvania, USA

The Coach House, Cowden Farm is a wonderful place for a family vacation
Three generations of our family ( 2.5y to 71y) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Coach House. The latter was spacious, clean and well furnished and Gavin and Linzi, the owners were extremely helpful. They allowed us an early check -in (a relief when there are two toddlers who have had a sleepless transatlantic flight) and thoughtfully provided us with milk and shortbread so we could have a cup of tea/coffee before heading out to fetch groceries. The weather during our week was generally cloudy with showers but we still had good time visiting interesting sites in the surrounding area such as The Kelpies, The Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. A highlight for all the family was observing the cattle in the field adjacent to the Coach House and there was extra excitement at the breakfast table when a newborn calf was spotted. Three calfs were born during our stay and all were named! We highly recommend The Coach House as a place to stay. The Mutch Family

Tolles Haus - Tolle Vermieter
Wir waren mit 8 Personen für eine Woche im Haus. Das Haus ist sauber und ordentlich eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht (Küche mit Ofen Herd, Kaffeemaschine, Siebträger für Espresso, Mikrowelle, Kühl-Gefrierschrank mit Eiswürfelbereiter, W-Lan, TV, Waschmaschine und Trockner...). Die Bäder waren sauber, die Betten erst etwas weich, aber zum schlafen doch super! Gavin und Linzyisind sehr Hilfsbereit und haben uns einmal etwas aus der Klemme geholfen (Ausdruck eines Passes von Visit Britain). Das Haus ist gut gelegen um in sämtliche Himmelrichtungen zu fahren. Wir waren mit einem Mietwagen in Anstruther- Isle of May, Inverness/Loch Ness/Culloden, Loch Lomond, Ben Nevis, Glasgow, Edinburgh und Dunnotar Castle. Die längste Fahrt war Inverness mit knapp 3 h. Aber auch Stirling bietet schon einiges, die Fahrt in die Stadt dauert nur einige Minuten. Haus, Gastgeber und Umgebung super und 5 Sterne wert! All over 5 Stars and Thanks a lot!!! Das Haus entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Wir haben uns dort extrem wohl gefühlt. Im Prinzip war alles da, was man so braucht. Ein doppelter Satz Frühstücksteller wäre aber hilfreich gewesen. Mittags ist man ja meist nicht wirklich da. ;-) Während unseres Aufenthalts hatten wir Sturm. Den hat das Haus locker weggesteckt. Man hörte ihn nur. Die Lage des Hauses ist ein wenig dezentral für Stirling. Die Zufahrt war etwas holprig. Dafür sind die Möglichkeiten recht vielseitig. Man kommt gut in alle wichtigen Städte und in die Trossachs. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und hilfreich. Das einzige Problem unseres Aufenhaltes wurde prompt von Gavin beseitigt - und das recht spät am Tag. Fazit: Gerne wieder!

très jolie maison voisine de la ferme
nous avons passer un agréable séjour dans cette maison , entouré de champs , les vaches comme voisines , la maison est bien équipée et grande, les propriétaire sympathique et très discrets , on les as à peine croisés , l'emplacement à 5 mn de voiture de Stirling nous à permis de découvrir beaucoup de chose aux alentour

Sehr schönes Domizil, alles was man braucht ist im Haus.
Sehr nette Gastgeber. Sehr ruhig gelegen, Zum Einkaufen sind es ca. 5Km.Von Sainsbury's bis Aldi + Lidl ist alles vorhanden. Um die Gegend um Stirling, Edinburg, Glasgow, Loch Lemond etc. zu Erkunden ist es ein guter Standort.

Tolle Ferienwohnung in wunderbarer ländlicher Lage!
In dieser hervorragend ausgestatteten Ferienwohnung haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Touren im Trossach Nationalpark, in die Städte Stirling, Edinburgh, St. Andrew, Glasgow sowie in die Highlands. Die Ferienwohnung liegt verkehrsgünstig (Stirling ist nur wenige Autominuten entfernt) und ist doch landschaftlich schön und sehr ruhig. Immer wieder zu empfehlen!

Alles wat je je kunt wensen in een vakantiehuis, tot de locatie en het uitzicht aan toe
Wat een geweldig vakantiehuis! Alles is aanwezig voor een geslaagde vakantie. Een grote keuken met veel apparatuur en kookgerei, comfortabele bedden, heerlijke banken, ruimte, een speelkamer... Ook het uitzicht is prachtig. Het huis staat op een boerenbedrijf, zodat de koeien en kalfjes langs je ramen lopen, maar toch heb je rust, ruimte en privacy. Er zijn veel bezienswaardigheden van Schotland op relatief korte afstand. Ook de stad Stirling is dichtbij, zodat je gemakkelijk je inkopen kunt doen. Een dikke aanrader! Ook kunnen er zonder problemen twee minder valide personen mee. Met een slaapkamer en een aangepaste badkamer op de begane grond is daar goed rekening mee gehouden. Alleen de weg vanaf de openbare weg naar de farm is slecht en zit vol kuilen.

Maison très agréable et très calme, idéale pour le repos. Propriétaire très sympathique.
Maison très bien située. Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire autour. Les grandes villes, les lacs, les châteaux.... La maison est grande, et très agréable! Les enfants ont adoré le contact avec les vaches. Nous reviendrons c'est sûre ... je recommande vivement cette maison.

Wonderful house, wonderful stay
It was a magnificent week. The house is wonderful, clean and well locateted. The house is near the motorway and there is so much to see around Stirling. We've had a great time and enjoyed everything. The toys were a huge fun for our baby. We want to thank Linzi and Gavin for the extraordinary time in Scotland. We will come again
